Stayed here for my birthday. When we arrived we were left standing in reception we were then greeted by a foreign man who wasn't very welcoming and not too bothered, not a great start. The room was very old and weathered, could do with a freshen up. The linen was clean and the room was clean. The breakfast was good...

Having read some of the reviews on Trip Adviser we were anxious about our stay. Couldn't have been more wrong. Lovely welcome from hotel manager. Room whilst on the small side was spotless with lovely crisp linen on bed. Full English breakfast on the Saturday morning was faultless we had a great stay.

Definitely a bit Faulty Towers but we had a good time. It has a nice cosy feel and the food was excellent but quite expensive. The service was average as none of the staff fell over them selves to to do anything special. When we first arrived, we asked for a coffee whilst the room was prepared (we were early),...

I've read some really bad reviews for what I thought to be a lovely stay at the Crown Inn/Hotel. Especially for the price. And I always say that you get what you pay for - indeed the service could be a bit friendlier or more helpful but that is also up to the customers: same principle, people will return friendliness...

Miserable Eastern European staff, especially the girl in the bar, with no sense of service or goodwill. Nice bed but unclean room. Good food both in the bar at night and breakfast in the morning. But..... miserable, miserable bar, with no ambiance, old and tired decor, very small drink options (no draft ale) - a place you would go to...

Just came back from a weekend visit to the cotswolds. Stayed at the crown as it was pretty close to bourton on the water, stow on the wolds and some other places. Lovely village leading up to the crown hotel. Very warm welcome from reception. Was told straight the way about no internet connection in the village which I knew...

We stayed at The Crown a couple of years ago and went again last weekend. We have stayed in two of the four poster rooms. We like it very much. It is good value for money. Our rooms have been perfectly clean and comfortable. The service was attentive and efficient. The first night we had fish and chips in the...

Fortunate to stay here with my wife 21st November and was well impressed with the twin room and the extremely fine breakfast served in the equally fine dining room the next morning. Staff very welcoming at reception and allowed us to leave the car the next day while we went walking. Good customer service deserves a good review. Not understanding...

Smelt of old smoke. Really unclean. Old uncomfortable mattress which was ridiculously flat. Dust everywhere. Bathroom floor dirty. Decor tired. Dust everywhere. The most rude dusmissive and unhelpful person on reception. By far the worst b+b ever stayed.
