Good "shakedown" spot for us at the beginning of the season, as close to home. Two nights in our motorhome at a bargain price. Nice pool, good restaurant and beautiful walks. Being upgraded so will be even better with new shop, bar and restaurant.

Great site for all the family all year round. a gem is the local post office within 200 yard walk which offer free cash withdrawals and free wifi in the adjoining cafe. Lots of local walks and fresh air.

Visited February half term with grandchildren. This was our second visit in recent years. A long time ago we stayed in our tent but now appreciate the super accommodation and facilities. The lodgings were modern, well-equipped and clean. We had an apartment and a lodge. The lodges are more fun for the children but the apartment has more space. The...

We recently visited Whitemead for half term and I have to say that the site was really impressive. It undergoing refurbishment at the minute but to me this is a good thing if properly managed. The site is obviously being invested in and all areas were in really good condition. Facilities were 1st class!!! Staff were nice and friendly and...

Just ordered a portion of chips from the bar and for £2.50 we received a pathetic portion, the guy in front of us ordered cheesy chips for 40p more and had a plate full with cheese. Spoke to manager who assured me we had the same amount and they looked more attractive in a small bowl.

We booked as a party for 4 apartments and a lodge all which were spacious and really comfortable. We were very impressed. We really enjoyed our break as we had good company and space to celebrate in. We were less than impressed with some of the service however. The reception was particularly poor and unhelpful Everything seemed to be too...

We booked here for the new year break, caravan pitches are spacious but get very muddy in winter, however I understand they are all being gravelled this year. The facilities have recently been upgraded however the toilet block is often not that clean which puts me off showering, there are good pool facilities and activities for the children. I feel...

Our family of 4 popped in on the off chance for some food as we were stopping just up the road, service was warm and friendly and was very accommodating! Menu was good plenty of options for the children and fairly priced. Worth while trying the ales as they pour a good pint. The dyers

We booked a table for 10 of us for a Christmas night out - we expected the usual office type christmas 'do', so our expectations of a winter wonderland were not that high ! There were quite a few other large tables in the same night -but as the room is large , we did not feel crammed in at...

To start with, the moans:- I do not like to be lied to when booking, I made the reservation over the phone with James who assured me the refurbished Primrose Walk apartments have a dishwasher - they don't. Whilst not the be-all-and-end-all it was important to me, not a great first impression. To claim the apartment had recently been refurbished...
