We were a Family of 4 on a cycle ride between coleford and cannop and dropped in for a drink and a light lunch. Very welcoming staff and fair value for money they made a very special effort to accommodate my Coeliac daughter which was very well received Well done.

Visited this pub with my boyfriend for an evening meal, after a friend's recommendation. I must admit the food is really delicious. Presentation itself makes your mouth water. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food is served in large portions (and I say this as a complement) so make sure you're hungry enough ☺. I would definitely recommend this pub.

As I'm a lover of the curry it was nice to get around to trying this. It's presented as a buffet with a choice of 4 different curries, rice, poppadoms, naan bread and some accompanying chuckney and relishes. It was all rather lovely. The beef madras in particular is lush! The staff are very polite and run the place very...

Parked the car at Cannop Ponds entrance near Beechenhurst Lodge. Then walked down through to Parkend. Happened upon this pub. So glad we did. 2 halves of Otter Bright along with hugely delicious plates of Hot Beef Roll for me & Pulled Pork Roll for him. Generous side of salad & crisps. Lovely warm crusty bread. Finished off with tea...

I visited this evening 23 Jan, excellent friendly and professional service and the food was really good. I work annually in the Forest of Dean area for a week or so and this place has always been very good. Extensive specials board as well though I chose from the standard menu. No hesitation to give it full marks 👍👍🏾.

Our first time at the Woodman even though we only live a few miles away. We chose an early sitting and on arrival we were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to our table. Orders we takes immediately for our drinks and we were asked if we would like a jug of water to accompany our meal. My husband...

We were delighted to find that this dog friendly pub had a great choice of food at lunch time. Every meal was tasty and the staff were attentive. For the price, this was an excellent choice and I would highly recommend it.
