Paid the extra for upgraded room.
Well worth it no noise at night great sleep and nice view out of the small window.
Air conditioning/ heating worked very well and the rainfall shower was good.
The coffee machine was just what was needed before heading for breakfast but would have been nice to know what coffee was what.
A great stay very relaxing.
Stay on level 10 it’s very quiet

Stayed at this Premier Inn (PI) with friends and our children. The parking advertised is right next door and easy to find, plus you receive it at a discounted rate of £11 for 24 hours. We checked in slightly ahead of the advertised time and one of our rooms was ready which was a big help ahead of the theatre. Lots of steps to walk if anyone doesn’t like lifts (like my little boy) with the PI rooms starting at floor 7 of this building (and up to floor 10). Room was clean, with an amazing view. Met for pre evening meal drinks in the bar area which was nice with a good selection and well priced. Staff dealt really well with another guest who returned at 9.55pm wanting a meal for his family of four, despite food being advertised as being available up to 10pm and this man being rude to the staff. Really good nights sleep and breakfast in the morning was great, with everything in good supply. One member of the PI team really stood out - Helen, who was really helpful and polite during our breakfast. I would definitely recommend this PI for its location, the price I paid for a Saturday night ahead of Christmas (granted I did book it well ahead!) and my experience on my visit.

Stayed for 2 nights late August. I have stayed here many times before and have written a review previously. I still love this place: the staff are excellent and are incredibly helpful. This time was a bit different due to the pandemic but it was still a good stay. We had interconnecting rooms, which were spotless. We were reassured by their cleaning policy which meant they didn’t service the room everyday but you could ask for extra supplies at reception. The hotel was very quiet and we had the cooked breakfast both mornings. Again, it looked different to usual, most things brought to your table; the exception being coffee and toast accessed using a one way system. You have to book to eat. Hand sanitiser was found at the entrance to the hotel and the restaurant. As the hotel was quiet, we didn’t meet anyone else in the lifts - all the rooms being on floor 7-10.
Sev, Josh and Daniel were all very friendly, helpful and pleasant. Thanks to them and the housekeeping staff on duty for making our short break more comfortable in these challenging times. Stay safe!

Having been a huge fan of this Premier Inn, I can honestly say that i was very disappointed on a recent visit to see how the previously impeccable standards have fallen. I made the very regrettable mistake of dining at the in house restaurant and it was simply awful beyond words. On a busy Monday evening with the 16 guests including me in the restaurant their were only 2 members of staff on duty to deal with the restaurant and the reception area for guests checking in. From being seated to being given a menu was 15 minutes. A further 10-15 minutes before I was offered a drink and my order taken. My starter dish of loaded Nachos was cold so I returned it. My main course was the wrong dish when it was presented, so that also was returned. When the correct dish eventually arrived a further 10 mins later (Lasagna) it had been "nucleared " in an industrial microwave and looked a mess, so hot i could not touch it or get anywhere near it for almost 10 minutes. Needless to say it was inedible so i refused to pay for any of my meal, bottle of wine included. When I complained about how the Lasagna had been "nucleared" the waiter said "Yes, it is always like that". Just a total disgrace in my opinion and Premier Inn need to do much better. For once was what a very high standard Budget Hotel it is no more now than a Hostel and since when does one have to request that their room is made up and fresh towels provided when you are paying in excess of £70 per night. I questioned this and was told that it was a measure introduced during Covid. Well we are about to have all Covid restrictions lifted in the UK but I doubt if Premier Inn will follow suit as Covid is now the "generic " excuse for everything it seems.

This was booked as a surprise for my 20th birthday by my partner we always go with premier inn as we have never had an issue in the past. However the trip we have just had had made me steer clear of premier inn now as there was more than one issue with one being quite serious.
Firstly, on check in we were told that no double rooms were available even though a double room had been booked which meant we were at the front desk for quite some time until a room was given to us, little did we know this was a disabled room with two single beds pushed together with a gap in the middle after we paid for a double.
Next was the secondary pillows supplied one of the cases was dirty both sides which was beyond me.
Further more i accidentally pressed the disabled SOS button whilst trying to turn the LED strip lighting off which led to a loud constant beep going off, but shockingly nobody came to the room to check what was going on, this was by far disgusting as we had to find a reset button ourselves.
At 7:30 am we could hear loud banging against the walls shaking the head board which could only be the cleaners which woke us up.
Following on there was only 1 towel for a shower in the bathroom and when you are 9 floors up it’s a pain to get another, even with a double bed only 1 towel is provided ?
finally we waited for breakfast for 20 mins as there was 2 staff for a bank holiday who weren’t efficient in getting people seated whilst two member staff just stood staring into the cafe area providing no help at all.
All in all it was a pretty bad experience with premier inn for me and my girlfriend who shall be looking at other hotels in the future.

Whenever I come to Salford for work I always stay here. I love the beds and bedding. The rooms are nice and fairly clean. It would be nice to have the rooms cleaned everyday, but for long stays you can just ask and they will arrange more frequent cleaning. All the staff were really great, every single member of staff was fantastic! I wish I noted down all your names, but everyone was amazing, really helpful, really friendly and chatty. The breakfast buffet is good with a nice selection. Not many veggie or vegan options though, so please bare that in mind. My only big bear was the wifi which was painfully slow at times. I couldn’t use my laptop at all and could barely use my phone. There is an option of a super wifi which is an extra £5 in this day and age that is a little bit ridiculous. The hotel is in a great location close to trams and also places to eat etc. I will always stay here when I come to Salford!

So far as Premier Inn’s go, it’s a convenient location in Media City Salford Quays. It’s more modern that some of the other Premier Inns that I’ve stayed in, which I do regularly for work, but it’s just not suitable to work from as a remote work location.

There is no mobile signal in many of the rooms. I’ve stayed in at least 6 in this hotel, different floors, different sides of the building. The free wifi offered doesn’t work. You’ll wait five minutes for a news page to download, if you’re lucky. So, if you want any kind of phone signal or wifi, you’ll need to pay for their premium wifi at £5 for 24 hours but then, to manage your expectations, expect wifi comparable with a dual up service in the early 1990’s. You’ll also need to pay by PayPal, as the form configuration doesn’t let you actually type in your bank card details.

During this stay, despite the room being set up for two people, there wasn’t towels for two and only a small amount of toilet roll. Cue trips to reception and a wait until staff became available and could find a spare towel and some toilet roll. Same for tea, coffee, milk etc

The TV volume is set to 15 to prevent disturbance of neighbours (sensible) however, to hear the tv you need to sit on the end of the bed. 15 is barely a whisper so if you have a hearing impairment or want to sit in bed or on the chair to watch the TV, choose elsewhere.

The restaurant is small (and smelly - think greasy fryers and unventilated kitchens). We opted for ‘room service’ due to the smell.
Room service is actually a take away service, where you place an order, your food is cooked and then you carry everything on a tray to your room. Great, if it’s just a plate of chips, but if you’ve ordered a starter and mains, for two, it’s a lot to carry, to avoid other guests bumping in to you, and to navigate doors and lifts, all which require you to use your key to activate them. A trolley would be better, and would avoid spillages.

I asked how big the portion of Macaroni Cheese was. The response was ‘oh, about this big’ where the size demonstrated was around the size of a standard paper back book/novel. We both decided to have this.

However, the portion that came was smaller than the size of a Muller Rice pot. Certainly not enough to satisfy anyone’s hunger and certainly not as described. Perhaps four mouthfuls, at most.
See pics. The spoon, for reference, is a standard teaspoon.

Overall, this Premier Inn isn’t one of their best. It’s slowly run. It’s poorly kitted out in the rooms (a guest shouldn’t have to ask for towels and toilet roll). It’s smelly in the restaurant and there are better, similar priced hotels nearby.

Have stayed here several times and it’s a great location for the City with the tram line just a 5 min walk away in the middle of Media City. I would recommend booking as early as possible as the costs of rooms rise to an eye watering price. Great for visiting Media City, Coronation Street, a 5min walk and Old Trafford, about a 20min walk. Multi storey parking is available next door which is chargeable but discounted at the Premier Inn if you produce you parking ticket to reception. This Premier Inn is modern and well maintained although the dining room for breakfast can be overcrowded and limited.

We visited the hotel during social distancing and limited service, however the helpful staff more than made up for it. The staff are currently not allowed in your room, but if you need anything you just ask at reception and they will get it for you. The restaurant and bar were not open, however there are many coffee shops and a supermarket near by. The hotel has hand sanitizer in several locations, as well as extra cleaning.

If you are coming to visit Media City, then the hotel is perfect, but they are EXPECTING you to pay a premium for wifi because the basic wifi is so poor, it struggles to download basic emails and web sites. This is not a one-off issue. It has happened since the hotel was new.

The rooms are for 2 adults but in some you get a double and a sofa bed so can accommodate 3 people including another person but preferably a child. under 16....you would need to check with the hotel if they can allow your older son in such a room

Hi, What is the easiest way to get to the Trafford Centre from here? Taxi?
Hi ducky80, thank you for your question. The Trafford Centre is around 15 minutes away in a taxi from our site and for a standard car we have been quoted £10 with our taxi service, Club Cars. Other alternatives include getting the bus. However a taxi is usually the cheapest option.
