I stayed here with my daughter for a shopping weekend. We had a fab time. The hotel is well located and close enough to walk to lots of places. The room was spotless, not huge rooms but well laid out and had everything we needed. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We didn’t eat here at all so can’t comment on the food but I would definitely stay here again. Fab hotel!

Loved the modern, minimalist style of this hotel. The room has everything you need, including a powerful shower. I must mention Alexa, the manager at reception, who couldn't have been more helpful. He provided great customer service, which I really appreciated as first impressions count!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in May and had a wonderful stay. Perfect location in terms of getting on/off the tram as well as exploring Salford quays which has many options for bars/restaurants too. We also walked into Manchester City Centre which took approx 30 mins. Parking on site for £8 a night. The hotel is clean and modern. Rooms spacious, comfy and luxurious. Reception staff were so friendly and informative. Highly recommend.

Everyone at the AC was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very nice and conveniently located near the Salford Quay tram station. The service was up to Marriott’s high standards. My room was clean and comfortable. It was a respite from the noisy environment of the city center and yet only a fifteen-minute tram ride away.

Recently spent a couple of nights at the AC Marriott Hotel in Salford Quays with my GF for a Manchester United match. This hotel is about a 15 minute walk to Old Trafford and perfectly situated if attending a Man U match. We found every member of the staff to be professional and courteous and gladly accommodating to our early checkin and upgrade request. Our room was clean and comfortable and the bed was equally large and comfortable. The breakfast included within our reservation was satisfying and the hotel gym permitted a good workout, This hotel is within easy walking distance to a tram that will take you into Manchester proper and is also within walking distance to several restaurants including Nandos for example. We enjoyed our stay and recommend staying at the AC Marriott Hotel in Salford Quays especially if attending a Man U match.

My experience here was conditioned by my stay the previous night, at a competing hotel that shall remain nameless on this review, but is as close as dammit to the football grounds Only deserves three points. Issues were the grating noise from the screeching tram rails until late, road noise (3rd floor room) and the room next door, as they still have those quaint interlinked rooms I haven't seen elsewhere in over thirty years) and I clearly heard all the chatting going on next door. Breakfast was good but we (a group that had rapidly congregated) had to wait a little, while mugs were sourced for coffee, as they'd run out and the member of staff approached to help with this seemed a little put out that they'd have to stop bussing tables to deal with the shortage. The hotel has limited parking and guess what, it shares it with the Ibis next door. 🤦 Compounding this is the fact that construction site containers take up half of the available parking space. Marriott recommended parking across the road. On closer inspection and after driving there, I deemed it unsuitable as there are abandoned / shuttered buildings with graffiti (and pigeons living out of the broken fascias). It looks really run-down. It may be great as park and ride (tram into town), but I don't dream of leaving my vehicle there overnight. Once you fire up the JustPark app and see parking spots around the area, on private driveways, going for £20-30 overnight, it sets alarms ringing on this open park. After visiting another four parking areas, I settled on the parking behind Travelodge, for £15. The gates were locked overnight from 2300-0600. This was a little walk from the Marriott and you can also pop in to Tesco. Express (0600-2400) for midnight snacks as the fridge in your room only has complimentary water.

Dear AlGharbNomad, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and on behalf of myself and the hotel team, I apologise for any disappointment you experienced during your stay with us. With regards to our parking, this is limited and as stated on our website this works on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately we can not guarantee parking to our guests as it is subject to availability upon arrival. We do recommend alternative parking and the Euro car park is a favourite as it is cheaper than our car park and located just across the road. Many of our guests use this car park when ours is at full capacity. Concerning your room allocation, if you were experiencing noise disturbance we would have been happy to reassign your room. Our reception desk operates 24 hours and we are happy to accommodate all requests from our guests where possible to ensure any issue is resolved. We are 100% committed to providing our guests with the guest experience they deserve as you are our main priority and I'm sorry that we did not meet your expectations. We hope you award us the opportunity to rectify any disappointments in the future and stay with us again on your next visit to the area. Kind regards, Alexa Foster Front Office Manager

This is a lovely hotel with staff that look after your every need. The first night I arrived, I ate at the hotel bar/restaurant. The staff member listened carefully to my dietery requirements and noted them {gluten free) The burger I had with gf bread, salad and fresh chips was delicious. The restaurant itself was spotlessly clean, relaxed and a nice ambience. My room, and particularly the bed with plentiful pillows were soft and luxurious - slept better than I have done in quite a while. The mattress was so conmfortable and the pillows were like puffs of air! The room was spotlessly clean with great views over Salford Quays and the city beyond. It was within a short distance of the tram stop of Exchange Quays so a good location too. The following evening, I attended a very special event at a different venue, I sadly fell down a step, twisted my foot and badly sprained it leading to a trip to the hospital and significant pain whic was not pleasant being a long way from home. The staff were wonderful - they did all they could to help me - they were a credit to the hotel, They ordered taxis, carried my bags, assisted me to my room, they did all that they could to make me feel a little better and reassure me. So this is my massive THANK YOU - particularly to the receptionists who were so helpful and caring, they made me feel better and eased my pain! They need a pay rise! I am now finally home and resting my foot I will certainly stay at this hotel again if I ever visit Manchester again!

I dont usually leave reviews but I Travelled to this hotel last weekend with 5 friends, (group of males around 30 years old) for an event, and still cant believe the value we got for this hotel. It was around £40 per person for the night and its one of the most plush hotels I have personally stayed in, decor throughout was stunning, we had free access to a full gym which out of pure luck was on our floor right next to our rooms. Didnt explore much more of the hotel to see what other amenities were around but we were shocked! The rooms were huge and fridge was stocked with drinks. whole place was extremely clean and fresh. I didnt hear a peep out of any other guests the whole time we were there. Staff were friendly and helpful and we paid extra in the morning for the breakfast which was great. The only slighlty annoying thing is that there were some works going on at the back of the hotel where the carpark was so it was smaller than usual and absolutely rammed, impossible to get a space at first as the car park is shared with the ibis hotel next door and i could see people parked on the road had got tickets. (I think it was busier than usual to be fair due to the event) We popped out later and luckily got a space when we come back. We visit our event yearly and each year stayed at different hotels which were all pretty grim, based on previous hotels in the area i wasnt expecting much at all but this was outstanding especially for the price. All in all super impressed with this hotel and will defo make sure i book this one again when travelling to Manchester.
