Hardly budget when i paid £154 for a room. Booked 2 and although it was non refundable (which i knew at the time) circumstances arise and i had to cancel one room due to bereavement and they said no to a refund. Not content with taking 2 payments the tried to take a 3rd. Impossible to get hold of receptionist over the phone. Hard mattress, hard pillows, hot room, and a bathroom door which didn’t shut. Location is great in between 2 tram stops, a Greggs next door and a kebab place for chips at midnight after Coldplay. Didn’t eat breakfast as i just wanted to leave. Will go back to Premier Inn.

Very warm, friendly greeting on arrival by efficient receptionist.Rooms are VERY basic but clean. No hairdryer, no hand towel. My pet hate, no powerpoint by mirror to dry hair. Rooms are tiny and somebody on the larger spectrum might find it difficult to use loo. The one thing you need is a good night's sleep which we did not have, the bed was the most uncomfortable we have ever had, so firm, as were the pillows. We did tell reception on departure and they kindly did not charge us for parking. This was very kind but for the price we paid for a very basic room and no sleep we will not stay again.

I stretched to a two star review purely due the location Rooms are shocking, tiny little rooms with zero amenities Now I know there is cheap but is the lower end of cheap! Even the wifi was screaming for an upgrade. Toilet in a tiny cupboard with 1/2 a used toilet roll is really scraping the barrel. Rock hard beds, lumpy pillows and the thinest or duvets kinds summed up how bad the place is I’d never stop again

The hotel is located next to the Quays and close to the Metrolink stop. The staff were pleasant and professional on reception and accomodating with my request for a first floor apartment. My apartment was small but functional, with a colour television and large shower, but no bath. This is, however a budget hotel, wich I take in to account as I write this review. The blackout blinds were perfect for making the room feel tranquil and blocking out sunlight. Breakfast was of a continental nature, there was a good choice of items, ranging from delicatessen cheeses, fruit salads for vegans/gluten free diets, cured meat, yoghurts and cereals. The bread was of very poor quality and taste, but the cheese was delicious. The whole fruit was vile and full of pips. Drinks were breakfast tea, speciality coffees and chilled fruit juice, which was delicious. On the whole, it was a decent experience for a budget hotel.

It is 5 minutes away from Salford Quays and Exchange Quays tram station so it is relatively safe at night and 15 minutes walk to ManUtd Stadium so location is good. There is a convenience store next to the hotel. Regarding the room, it is really small, probably one of most compact rooms I've stayed in. It was a twin bed room with a small table, chair, TV (sometimes it wouldn't work, had to wait for a while before turning back on). Had to ask for hairdryer in reception, not provided by default in the room. The washbasin wasn't in the toilet but outside in the room, right next to the shower area with a matte glass door which wasn't quite user-friendly. The isles in the room only allowed one person to pass through so the space was quite cramped, but because of the very economical room rates, couldn't really complain about it, though not the best experience. Might stay here again because I don't mind basic but only when travelling alone or with partner.

For the price you pay this hotel is fantastic & ticks all the boxes. First things first, they have a great selection of soft beverages, alcoholic drinks in the foyer along with snacks etc. The rooms are decent and clean and do the job. The pricing is very reasonable. Checkout times are 12 midday which is really good compared to some other hotels. Staff were friendly too, I would come again.

Basic enough but at end of the day all I wanted was a clean place and a comfortable bed. . . Hotel was spotless and rooms were spartanesque with no frills.. but ultimately they had all that was needed without the fluff. Could not have been more conveniently located with bar restaurant across road and tramline in literally 2 minutes walking distance ..with trams and access to anywhere. There is also some big football stadium nearby maybe 15 mins walk if that's something that interests you i guess fans might like to visit and if they're they might even get to see them get hammered 7-0. Special thanks to the staff that really make the place. All the staff were so friendly, from the receptionist to the lady at the breakfast area. And the staff cleaning rooms and vacuuming around were smiley and courteous. When leaving in the dead of night tired and rushing to get to the airport the night staff and the security guy at reception bid us farewell and were so friendly leaving us smiling as we departed.

Absolute mid way ranking for this no frills accommodation close (but not THAT close…) to Media City and M/cr city centre. On one hand the room was clean and reasonably comfortable. With a 24 hr reception (actually, a lovely welcome from the Moroccan lady on the desk and her security colleague - they were both great and thanks very much). On the other, the room was really basic. What it lacked in particular was a chair on which to sit at the tiny built-in desk. So you drag the bed over and sit on that, which is hardly healthy or comfortable. But hey, it’s £45 a night - so you get what you pay for, and the place feels secure and clean. Wifi works, and you can sleep. So: sorry to sit on the fence… but this is a genuine middle of the road experience. Tip: if the car park is full (which it is likely to be) then the alternative parking is on the opposite side of the road and slightly to the west. Behind the railings. You have to do the next left turn (from the other side of the road) to access it. It’s slightly cheaper than the hotel for 24 hours (£7.50) and seems to be relatively safe.

Ok, so this isn't the Ritz Carlton or the Savoy, but the Ibis on Salford Quays does exactly what it says on the tin. The rooms were spotless, the bed was comfortable, the shower was really powerful and the staff were friendly and helpful. Perhaps it might be better described as a "super hostel" rather than a hotel, but for myself and my friend (who were in town for 2 nights to see a gig and a bit of sightseeing) it was a perfect, no frills option for two guys who weren't going to spend a lot of time hanging out in the hotel itself. Shout out to Ibby who welcomed us to the hotel and was very helpful and friendly.
