Staff great, good location, restaurant food was lovely, there was a wide range of breakfast products which were replenished often making sure no one missed out on anything.
Room was really good size and clean.

There was one downside, but it was dealt with immediately, our first night at the hotel we had a really bad night's sleep. The double bed was very uncomfortable, it had a very noticeable dip in the middle which we were constantly rolling into, our joints were sore and achy in the morning and we were extremely tired. We went to reception after breakfast, to bring the matter to the staff's attention. We spoke to Eve, Front office manager, she couldn't have been more helpful, she immediately offered to move us to another room, which we were grateful for, she said it may take a while. However we returned to our room and in no time at all she phoned to say that a room was ready and she would bring up the key.
Eve arrived and told us she had upgraded us to a top floor room with a king bed that had a new mattress, she also enhanced my points as I am an IHG Member. We cannot praise Eve enough for dealing with us so quickly and professionally she certainly went above and beyond. That night we slept so well. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Always happy to stay at holiday inn and not disappointed with this one. A lovely warm welcome from reception, a warm, clean and well planned lounge, easy to find bedroom which was faultless and an amazing view from floor 12.
Over 60s discount is a big bonus, worth looking out for, and breakfast included makes this excellent value for money. Restaurant staff were very attentive and provided tea and coffee and made sure all was well.
A short tram journey gets you into the city centre, making this an ideal place to stay while exploring the city and it’s many attractions.
Thank you holiday inn, we will be back.

I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist, sadly I didn’t catch her name but she was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was much more than I expected having stayed at other Holiday Inn locations, it seemed quite new with nice decor and a modern vibe.

Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash and body lotion all available as standard. Very comfortable and I had a restful sleep.
Marcos on the Mezzanine floor is where to go for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Breakfast was help yourself buffet style with a great selection of food; cereals, fruit, breads, cooked breakfast, fruit juice and hot drinks. Definitely something for all tastes. Dinner was simply delicious, huge portions, great choice of alcoholic drinks/wine list and very reasonable prices. The waitress was efficient and very attentive.
All in all it was a great stay and I hope to return next time I visit Manchester.

A fairly new hotel with clean modern decor. The double room was spacious with a comfortable king sized bed and a desk for working. Good wireless Wi-fi. The breakfast was buffet style with a good choice of hot food. A number of items for the people suffering from allergies eg soya yoghurt.
Car parking is close by in the multi storey and you are given a voucher that reduces the cost. Do not park directly opposite the hotel as it is a rip off.

Considering this place is relatively new, it offers a level of modern comfort one would expect for circa £100 a night.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bar is lively and welcoming, although quite limited in terms of draft beers on offer. There is a mini gym, but no pool, sauna or steam.

There are a couple of reasonable restaurants in the vicinity and the tramline terminus links you to central Manchester and the inter-city train station in no time. Very satisfactory. Room was great, reception staff also, the main restaurant was shut due to Covid and every restaurant in the area was full on both Wednesday (eat out to help out) but also on Thursday when the scheme wasn’t on. We couldn’t even book for Thursday ringing around on the Wednesday night. In the end we are in the hotel bar which wasn’t doing the half price scheme and was dead......it is now obvious as to why.
The food was shocking, some of us had the ribs, some the burger (there were only a hand fill of choices) words can’t describe how bad they were! And with a couple of drinks each the bill was £170 for 4 of us.

We chose a larger, upper floor room as I use a mobility scooter. The room was excellent , beds were VERY comfy . Location was superb , plenty to see and do in the local area . Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, plus museums and outlet shopping centre close to hotel.Plus a small, Booths supermarket right next to hotel .If, like myself, you have a blue disabled badge, parking is free outside the hotel. The signs say "2 hours free", however these need replacing as Disabled parking is free all over media city , so don't worry about getting a ticket. There is a multi storey car park next door , but they charge £11 per day , when validated at hotel .

This hotel is one of the best ones I’ve stayed in thus far. Though the location is a touch out of the way if you’re planning a day or night out in the city centre - Media City does have a lot to offer itself.
The food at the hotel, however, is phenomenal!
I was here with work and had 2 weeks of the breakfast buffet - a lot was on offer, from a fry up to fruit, and though the coffee was nice - the thing that really woke me up in the morning was Paula and the sparkle in her eye!
A friendly “y’alright?” each morning on the way to breakfast really made me feel welcome and at ease.
The rest of the staff were just as good, busying themselves around to make sure the dining area was restocked and clean without getting in the way of the guests slowly waking themselves up.
After 2 weeks the routine sets in and then it breaks as work is finished, but I have many treasured memories here and hope to return in the future.
The food at the hotel, however, is phenomenal!

The staff are very friendly and helpful, easy and quick check in, modern fresh clean surroundings, the odd celebrity or 2 knocking about, set in good location just a walk away from great bars and restaurants set in a modern water side location.
The rooms are huge with good views of the city and Manchester United
Very clean and very clean bathrooms with everything you need.

When finding we were going to the holiday inn what I thought and what I got was completely different
I would recommend this hotel to anyone

We have a discount with the MediaCityUK Multi-storey car park just next door. It is £11 for the 1st 24 hours and £12 per 24 hours after that. Based on one entry and exit.
