First time here - stopped to break up a longer journey, and needed somewhere dog friendly. Located in a quiet village environment so for those who like the country. Room was excellent. Stayed for dinner - service, food and ambience all really good (and you can take dog into restaurant) Indoor bar area relatively small, but lovely garden with lots of space.
Lovely location that is a genuinely relaxing and welcoming. The attention to detail in the pub, dining area as well as the rooms is very good. My room, as before, was spotless and well appointed. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and super-polite. Worth noting that there's free electric car charging via the pod point in the car park.
We booked a 3 night stay to celebrate our son's birthday and do some house hunting in the area. The Jack Russell Inn came up as a dog friendly local venue and didn't disappoint. The standard of the accommodation (Great Dane room) and the food in the restaurant was top quality and the Inn is well staffed with friendly and efficient people. The whole venue is dog friendly, including the restaurant and this was a major plus point for us and our two labradors. We will certainly return when back in the area as our house hunting was successful!
Amazing accommodation and food. Veyr comfy rooms, nice surroundings. Great breakfast. Very quite location with chance to stargaze. Satff is friendly. Facilities are good. Only suggestion is speed of evening service.
Beautiful pub in a beautiful setting. Food is pretty good albeit a bit expensive. Service can vary but is never terrible. Over priced truffle chips which is a real rip off. Otherwise would generally recommend to others
