Very helpful staff, especially susanna, would stay again if in the area. Reasonable and clean, breakfast good. Thank you for making our short trip a good experience. The hotel were very accommodating with my early check in request. All the best for the season ahead
After a day at goodwood festival of speed this hotel was our stop over on our way home When we arrived there was no disabled parking as stated in my emails about my wife using crutches and had trouble walking So we had to park in the overflow car park So when we checked in they couldn't find us I gave them all our details still nothing even though I'd emailed them a couple of times asking not many steps Then they found us but said we have already checked in So they gave our room to another couple and still charged us which is not very professional So they gave us the room which the other couple was supposed to have but it was a long walk away from reception and up stars which wasn't good but they offered us a free breakfast for compensation they didn't really take into account my wife being disabled The room was nice better than I thought but was would you put a kettle in a room with the shortest lead so we had to put the kettle on the floor to use it (not good) Also the walkway from the reception to the rooms there was notice about slippy when wet it was undercover so this could have been dangerous for my wife or you could repair the roof then it would get wet Breakfast was nice …
Basic. Lack of communication from staff and emails that were not correct -missed breakfast as was not informed by staff or by email that the restaurant was now open for breakfast -not the "breakfast to go" bag. Staff not the best, didn't appear to be interested in customer service. Pillow was thinner than the duvet. Shower curtain was ridiculous as the extractor fan was over the bath so it just constantly sticks to you, no grips on bath base so nearly slipped over.
Price was brilliant (under £45 for 2 of us without breakfast on a Thursday night) , room lovely and clean and staff pleasant. Unfortunately other guests were very selfish and wandering around without masks, including in front of staff and nothing was said. The hotel is a bit dilapidated and we had a broken gutter outside our window with a lot of water coming down throughout the night as it was raining so not the best night's sleep. They could also do with checking facilities as although not a big problem, the kettle filter was broken, the bathroom door didn't lock and the shower rail was very rusty. Saying that, the room was clean, the shower curtain spotless and the hot water plentiful and very powerful.
My wife & I, plus two other couples, stayed for 3 nights. The staff were fantastic, friendly, very helpful & couldn’t do enough for us. The receptionist (Liz) and the young man serving breakfasts were just so fantastic. Sadly, the bar wasn’t yet open (owing to a supplier problem caused by “the virus”) and the restaurant wasn’t yet open for evening meals (same reason). However, Liz provided glasses for our drinks, which we bought from a local supermarket, and, plates & cutlery for a takeaway meal which was delivered to the hotel. Rooms were great, very spacious & with AC (Nos. 102, 103 & 104) Definitely 10 out of 10 from us 👍🏻👍🏻
