Spent a lovely relaxing weekend here. Nice, quiet, small country house hotel in open countryside, with interesting gardens to walk around (lovely big trees and herb garden) and an outdoor entertainment area (on the old tennis court), which needed some attention. Family run hotel, so service was friendly and personal. Bedroom was comfortable and pleasantly decorated with a reasonable sized...

We really enjoyed our stay at Essebourne Manor, our only comment was that the room was so big it took a while to warm up - it would have been nice if the heating had been put on before we arrived, especially at this time of year! We took advantage of a deal which included scones and tea on arrival,...

I gave a birthday lunch for 30 people. The food was excellent and all my guests commented on it. The service was very good without being too much. We were in a very pleasant dining room and my guests enjoyed walking in the grounds after the meal. Overall a very good experience.

We attended a friend's birthday lunch for about 40 people which was most enjoyable. The meal was good and we chose from 3 choices for each course. Everything was freshly prepared and nicely presented. The hotel is in a lovely setting but some of the outside areas could do with attention. The ladies loo needs updating - there is only...

We were 2 roadweary couples in need of a room and some supper. We wanted to be "not too far" from Heathrow, as we ended our English adventure. We spotted the sign for Esseborne Manor and pulled in the long driveway. On the front lawn were sheep peacefully grazing. We were warmly greeted by Ian and immediately shown 2 huge...

This was our second stay at Essebourne Manor, and once again we only stayed for one night. It is a lovely house and being family-owned and run is a friendly place to stay. We were in St Albans room which was spacious with a four-poster bed and a jacuzzi bath. The cream tea was delicious with the scones being freshly...

Esseborne Manor just north of Andover in Hampshire is a gastronomic gem. It is unpretentious, lies hidden among the Hampshire hills and offers some of the very best food you'll ever have the good fortune to taste. It is no surprise that many guests and diners return frequently, many to enjoy the hotel's 'taster' menu - seven courses with a...
