We were blessed with the weather last weekend for a family gathering and were pleasantly surprised with the fabulous garden for our children. Lots of fun and safe areas for them to play. Unfortunately for us hungry adults the painstakingly slow food and service was too big to ignore. The food looked and tastes good for a Sunday lunch but...

Very clean and tidy room. Nice pub food and breakfast. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Personally would have preferred a larger breakfast ie, 2 saus, 2 bacon, 2 eggs etc., but i'm sure the size would suit most people. My fault for not looking at the map, but based on the address I thought this was in Hook, whereas...

We stayed here for a couple of nights during a family history trip to Hampshire, and the Poacher Inn made a good base. Rooms were modern and fresh, with tea/coffee making facilities. We did arrive too early, just after 3pm, which was the stated time on our Booking.com print-out, and were told check-in was in fact 5pm so we had...

What a find! We stayed for just one night en route to a weekend in London, and would definitely stay here again. A super experience from start to finish: the welcome we received was friendly, dinner was excellent - great choice on the menu and well paced, attentive yet unhurried service, followed by a good night's sleep in a well...

We are steam railway enthuiasts and chose 'The Poacher Inn' as our 'in the country' base at the East end of the Watercress Line, just ten minutes from Alton Station. On arrival Nadia made us most welcome and showed us to our double bedroom overlooking the rear garden. The room was very clean, tidy and the bed beautifully soft. The ES...

This is the second time we have eaten at The Poacher. We love the decor which is very chic and we love the very attentive service. This time we visited for the Valentine's menu and we hadn't read the advert properly so didn't pre order. They couldn't have been more accommodating. Our food was delicious and well presented and the...

My family and I wanted a light lunch. Recently refurbished the interior was lovely. the service was very good, welcoming and accommodating. Two of us had Ham, Egg and Chips, which was not on the menu but was made available to us. It was very good. I had the burger. This is probably the first burger I have ever eaten...

We stopped over on our way home from Kent, found the Poacher Inn on line. Excellent choice, we arrived about 6.30pm welcomed by the landlady, beautiful room, modern and clean. Had a meal and drinks in resturant. Food was lovely, I had Turkey pie _ great pastry , the young staff team were helpful, polite and friendly. Great atmosphere in...

Lovely Sunday roast, the beef was cooked to perfection. Friendly welcoming staff and even a woodburning stove in the lounge bar area. Perfectway to spend a Sunday afternoon 😊 Our 2 veggie friends had the veg lasagne which seemed very good.
