We had booked for 6pm as a group of 10. Restaurant empty !! Ordered food which we waited for just over an hour for. Food was hot but some veg a little under cooked. No puddings as freezer wasn't working . Empty restaurant lots of staff so don't know why we waited so long. When we left they had put...

For starters, the food was ok at dinner, breakfast wasn't to good, no one replenished anything I.e. Bread for toast, tables were a mess and only one staff member. The room, and bathroom, all I can say is disgusting!! See photos. We booked for two nights but only stayed one night as we were locked out all night the second...

The staff at this hotel in the New Forest are exceptionally kind and efficient, but our one night stay was marred by the fact there were NO complimentary toiletries in the bathroom...and we had bought none with us! It would be nice if they had made this fact clear in their advertising! Room 16 was rather stuffy and the windows...

We chose the White Rabbit as our local Chef and Brewer establishment (The Castle, Kirby Muxloe) is very good. As a party of 9 we booked ahead for Sunday 14 Aug at 17 30pm. We were asked to email our food choices to them by Saturday morning so they could ensure everything was ready for us. Not something we have...

When we arrived we were greeted by the very friendly and helpful Sophie. She explained everything and made us feel very welcome. The bar / restaurant looked lobely and we couldn't wait to see our room...that's where it goes wrong! For £95 a night, I expected a cleaner bathroom, maybe complementary shampoo and shower gel, and the room needed decorating...

We stayed here for two nights and although the bedding was clean the overall impression was that the whole place needed a good deep clean and refurbishment. The bathroom had peeling paint on the walls, the sink wouldn't hold water and the bath wouldn't let it out! There was limescale and soap scum in the shower and around the sink...

I have never written a review before but wanted to let people know the white rabbit in Lyndhurst is very over priced. Breakfast is charged extra. Our room was awful with bad decor and in need of updating. We only ate there once as the service was so bad my first two choices where unavailable and when we finally got...

Brilliant hotel, food, staff and service. Perfect location , we couldn't fault the friendly staff and service but ........ Sadly let down by cleanliness. Thick dust on carpet in rooms, vomit stains down the outside of toilet bowl. Tired and tea /coffee stained walls. Little black creepy crawlies in the shower tray. A shame as bed linen and towels were...

Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin. We have been here a couple of times recently the food has been lovely but the service unbelievably slow. But we decided to visit again with friends from Bolton who had wanted to see the New Forest. Table booked for 7:30 later decided we needed to change it to 8:00 over 2 days...

We were staying locally and popped in for a drink. Started chatting about the accomodation they had with the very friendly barman. He gave us the information we needed and we will definitely stay there next time we are in the area as Lyndhurst seems to have a real shortage of good places to stay. Certainly where we stayed wasn't...
