Very attentive staff, who were keen to seat us with a drink whilst we chose from the menu. Only one vegetarian main meal available, which was on the cheaper set menu. We had a lovely table overlooking the garden, see photo. We had a voucher given to us for a 2 course meal. I chose a main and a pudding...

Very interesting 19th century arts and crafts building in the middle of the New Forest. No need to state that there was plenty to see and do nearby. Our own favorite was the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth-30 mins by car. We had a great stay with good food, served by mainly French dining room staff.Service everywhere good without being intrusive. We have stayed here many times but this is my first review. The hotel is charming, always clean and very comfortable. Each time we have been given a lovely room, very well equipped and with comfortable beds. The food in the restaurant is exemplary, with lots of locally sourced ingredients. The hotel is quietly situated, has lovely gardens and is...

We four walked along the muddy path from Buckler's Hard, one in a wheel chair and accompanied by two rather muddy dogs. On arrival at Beaulieu the light rain eased off an the sun came through, where we wondered might we sit outside and take refreshment? We enquired tentatively at the Montagu Arms, could they accomodate chair and dogs? Absolutely...

I've just returned from treating my Mum to an early Mother's Day cream tea at the Montagu Arms and it was fantastic. We booked in advance for a Friday afternoon so it was relatively quiet and we were given a lovely table overlooking the gardens, which was nice and bright as it was in the conservatory area. The service was...

We stayed at the Montagu recently and it certainly met with Our expectations. TheStaff are lovely and can't do enough for you. The setting is just perfect and you very quickly settle into the New Forest pace of life which is the perfect antidote to the pressures of the modern world.

I took my son for his 21st birthday lunch. The Terrace restaurant was very quiet so we had a lovely table looking over the pretty garden. Clearly no need to book ahead in February although I expect its gets busier as the season progresses. The food was utterly delicious , the staff friendly and helpful. The set lunch is excellent value...

A traditional hotel with a rather elderly client base means this is a good choice if you want a quiet break. Rooms are large and well furnished again in a traditional style. Lovely location close to great walks and nice open fires to return to. Expensive wine list though !

Visited for the second time, this time we decided it was time to try out the main Michelin star resturant (as well as night away). The room as we have come to expect was excellent, a nice touch is the home baked chefs biscuits which go very nice we a hot brew! We have a nice room over looking Beaulieu...

Unfortunately when we were given menus we were told politely that the fish option on the A la carte menu was not available leaving only 2 meat options.disappointing start!! It was fabulous food,no complaints there however the dining room was like a furnace.I don't like the heat and found it...
