We stayed in a group of rooms called The Meadows, and access was made from the outside which consisted of a row of doors. Rooms need some modernization but everything was spotless. The radiator was efficient but very noisy. The plug in the bathroom sink had no release to empty it but apart from minor issues a good night was...

Had an amazing relaxed afternoon tea. Sandwiches had tasty fillings and there were enough for all. Cakes were lovely too. The best thing was we were left to chat and enjoy ourselves and ended up staying for over 3 hours. The lady on the front was amazing and nothing was too much trouble she filled the tea up whenever we...

Good value for money. Clean spacious room. Restaurant didn't open till 6.30pm. so we eat in the pub across the road as we were attending a family do in Hemel Hempstead. Breakfast left a bit to be desired, although it was busy due to a wedding on the Saturday night. With a little improvement this place could easily rate higher.

Would stay again even though the rooms could do with abit of tlc. The breakfast was self service + had a good choice for all dietary needs. It's set in lovely grounds + is easy access to the motorways.

Came here for work Xmas function and really disappointed with the service, the food and entertainment. First of all, there was no main lights in our bedroom. Only lamps. Which I find really weird. The main lobby bar was served by the hotel receptionist. So you had to wait to be served if she was checking someone in. The dinner...

Booked this for a night away after our 40th wedding anniversary celebrations. We have never stayed here before but knew the hotel from some time away. However the hotel is very dated and apart from a good breakfast, there is nothing else good about this hotel

Nice place shame about the room, we had bulbs missing, curtains hanging of the hooks and a few cob webs with a dead fly in it, on the whole for a one night stop the hotel was pleasant enough, the staff we're helpful, and nice.

Hotel in semi-rural location just off the A41 at Bourne End. Easy parking and check-in. The Staff are pleasant, well presented and helpful - although not all were fluent in spoken English. This is my second stay this year, once in the executive room and recently the standard double. Rooms were both clean & pleasant and the bed comfy. The...

Hotel is in a lovely setting - by a river funnily enough hence the name ! It was lovely looking out my ground floor room window seeing the river and ducks. Reception staff were very friendly but at night the barman didn't actually seem to understand English and myself and others using the bar struggled. The room was clean and...

We stayed here to break our journey and found it located very conveniently close to the main road. The room had a sort of air-lock double door so was well insulated from the noise of the road. The view from the window was of the mill stream and what looked like the old mill building and was quite picturesque. There...
