Great accommodation, perfect hosts, nothing too much trouble. Ideally located for Offa's Dyke path, short walk to excellent pubs in town. Andrew was extremely charismatic and personable, great breakfast.

One of het best B & B I have visited in Wales during my walk on Offa's Dyke Path. Very friendly host, hospitality, a beautiful room in a fine house, warm bath, a good sleep and a delicious breakfast. Next trip to Wales I will choose this b & b again. Just go there ! Conrad, The Netherlands

Lis & Andrew ‘deliver' exactly what they promise - unpretentious 'home from home' hospitality in an elegant and comfortable Georgian house (full of books) set in a beautiful garden - all in the context of an amazing landscape. What’s not to like! Home-made cake with quality leaf tea are provided promptly on arrival and that provides a clue to the...

We were two couples who stayed overnight on the Offa's Dyke trail. We were given a warm welcome by the charismatic and entertaining owner - who kindly provided a tray of tea with excellent fruit cake. The rooms were fine and large though separate bathroom. Breakfast was first class - excellent fresh juice - terrific bacon and eggs. We enjoyed...

What a find this b&b is. Opposite the church on the offa's dyke route. I was welcomed by Andrew Darwin (a relation of Charles) and treated to tea and cake. Shown to my room and able to bath in a wonderfully large free standing bath. Perfect after a day's hike. I was able to watch the thunderstorm through the beautiful...

we were walking the Offas' Dyke long distance national trail and decided to take a rest day at Kington. We selected Church House at random and what a lucky selection it was. The atmosphere is very relaxed, none of the normal B&B "formalites". You are wecomed as a friend and encouraged to treat the house as your home, hence no...

The Church House is a very small, intimate B&B with only two rooms, a double and a twin. The B&B is situated in an old house and the ancestry of the owners goes back to Charles Darwin. They have chosen for a very personal approach, to make you feel at home. We were welcomed with tea and cake in the...

This is a lovely place. Andrew and Lis could not be more welcoming and their house is delightful. For walkers, it's perfectly located on Offa's Dyke, with tea and cake awaiting you at the end of the day. Perfect.

Have just had a fabulous, if wet and windy, two days walking on Offa's Dyke. What made the trip was having this wonderful and comfortable home to return to. Lis and Andrew went beyond the call of duty by offering us a taxi service and putting up with an entire wardrobe of wet clothing for two people that had to...

The charming Darwins welcomed us warmly for a couple of nights. We were very comfortable in their embracing house with its large rooms, good books everywhere, a large hang-about bathroom with lashings of hot water, and open-ended breakfasts served with style by Le Patron. Do stay there if you can!
