I have reviewed before and this time they excelled. 18 of us turned up pre-booked for my partners mums 70th Birthday meal. What a great night. All the meals turned up at the same time (even though they had a few parties to cater for). The staff were on the ball and made our experience a good one. Not one...

We live nearby so visit fairly often. We always say food is good and we enjoy our visit. Of all the times we have visited we have never been disappointed with the food. Nothing flashy just regular steak, burgers etc but lots to choose from. Hubby had fillet steak and loves their peppercorn sauce, I had the butterfly bass with...

I sort of rush-booked this for a wedding taking place on an Easter weekend, where many places were fully booked, as I usually book, minimum, 3 star. However, Appley Manor was a great choice and definitely above 2 star standards. First of all, it's immaculate - spotless! And the service from all staff was 4 star! Paul at reception especially...

We had a family visit - three adult couples on a Monday evening. We had booked but were quite surprised how busy it was for a Monday. The answer lay in some good quality food at a reasonable price. Our party enjoyed the fish and chips, the haddock bake and the home made steak and kidney pie and for dessert...

As always, we had an excellent lunch at Appley Manor with very nice, attentive staff. The roast dinners had really good roast potatoes, which most restaurants seem to have trouble with. They were just right with crispy outsides and soft middles. The Yorkshire puddings were huge and homemade. There were plenty of vegetables, no skimping. The puddings were homemade and...

Stopped here for a bacon burger recently, was ok however a little disappointed, my expectations were a little higher, nothing major wrong with it just lacked a little care and attention. Having said this i would return but order something different. Nice place.

This is one of my elderly father's favorite places. It is more of a pub feel than a restaurant. It comes across as a bit like a Wetherspoons or other similar chain style pub - order and pay at the bar with your table number. Our steak was very good and nicely cooked. The braised beef special was very tasty...
