This is not a hotel. It's a pub with rooms to stay in, but not a hotel for several reasons: In a hotel, you have a reception desk where staff are available to help. In this one, you have to find staff either at the bar (where they are busy serving drinks) or when the pub is closed, you find...

My room - Room 1 - was a decent size, with a comfortable double bed and room to move around, unlike other room in other hotels for a similar price. In fact, at £20 a room (usually £25 but as I was part of a group of 4, we were given a deal) you'd have a job finding a single...

Popped in for a quick Christmad drink. Full of atmosphere and still looking like a good traditional pub.Glad to find it the same. There is a good selection of beers and bar snacks and plenty of different sitting areas.

Visited here a few weeks ago for drinks one Sunday night - a poor selection of fairly pricey beers considering they are over the road from Wetherspoons - you would expect them to price a bit more keenly and improve their selection to bring in Wetherspoons customers. Bar staff were rather surly and gave the impression our custom wasn't really...

After reading reviews I wasn't sure what to expect on my two night stay with my two teenage sons. I wanted an inexpensive room with ensuite in Ryde. The location is perfect. You can easily walk it from Ryde port, even with a heavy suitcase. The staff on arrival were really welcoming and friendly to talk to. My first impression...

Back to the crown for the usual August Bank Holiday scooter rally stay. I thought the quality of service from the housekeeping staff had improved this year. The showers were hot and the bar staff equally so. There are no frills here but there's a good honest feel to the place. See you again next year

The positive point was that, allthough we arrived early, we could check-in. After that it seems they were not looking after the hotelrooms at all. Our room was not cleaned the 2nd day and we didn't get clean towels which is not very comfortable as there was no place to dry your towel. The triple room was too small for...

I stay here every August bank holiday and little has changed from last year, a reasonable room rate. Good bed a shower that works , tea and coffee and clean towels daily. As I have stated in previous reviews on this place it's no Hilton, but they don't claim to be, it's a basic hotel room on top of a...

I stayed here in early September for 20 per night. I checked in with a pleasant bar lady and was shown to a first floor room overlooking the main high street. The room was bright and clean and recently redecorated within the previous year. The room had en suite with a new shower, television, power sockets, tea and coffee making...
