Yelf's Hotel is located on one of the main streets in Ryde, which runs between the High Street and the sea front. It is handy for many shops, bars and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good choice for breakfast (the breakfast room has a courtyard, which can be used in warmer weather) and the bar and...

Booked for a birthday dinner for around 20 people, we arrived to find a beautifully laid table in the Dutch Room, the staff were amazing, very friendly, nothing was to much trouble. All the food was preordered so there was no long waiting time between courses, the food was excellent, throughly recommend the wild mushroom crumble, it was very very...

Had 4 nights at the hotel. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much for them. Full buffet breakfast every morning included in room rate. Be careful of the filtered coffee ... Tasted like airline coffee. Situated in the popular Union Street it is close to the high street and below is the beachfront. Parking can be a...

Attended My Rowing Club's annual dinner here a couple of weeks ago (Held here for quite a few years now) The venue as usual was great and all the staff - waiting and bar were really first class and are to be congratulated on doing a brilliant job. However part of the meal was quite a let down this time....

Fab hotel situated on the very popular Union Street, no more than a 5min walk to the beachfront / main bus & train station at Ryde Esplanade, or 10mins to Ryde Pier Head for ferry/train services. Many local amenities on offer - a local Sainsbury's a little down from the Hotel and across the street ; bus stops within 5...

Had a family Christening and stayed at the Yelfs. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Also we had a group meal and to say that it was good would be a slight understatement, with a group of 20 odd people you would expect that something would be forgotten cold or even served to the wrong person, but the service...

Travelled over to the Ryde IOW from Southsea via Hovertravel last Sunday to have Sunday Lunch at the Yelf's Hotel. We have done this trip dozens of times and always have lunch at the Yelf's. On this occasion we opted to have lunch in the Conservatory and not in the formal Dining Room. Great service as always. However, my Sunday...

They have a blackboard menu with 2 courses for £9.99 and 3 for £12.99, which is great value for Ryde. The service for food was quick but the Bar staff can be a little slow at times. They host weddings there so you are sometimes served by casual staff.. I would recommend if you want good food on a budget....

I stayed here on business. It's an old fashioned seaside hotel, 100 years from the esplanade at Ryde, and a 10 minute walk from Ryde Esplanade station (up a fairly steep hill). Room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. It is a bit tired, but perfectly adequate. I would certainly stay...

Good value and fair choice from the menu. A bit of a slow service but as there were a few of us and we were chatting, the wait was not particularly noticed. Clean, lovely staff and food was good. There was a vegetarian option too. Would recommend if you want good food on a budget.

Thank Moandtim
