Just returned from a wonderful weekend hosted by Caroline at The Bakehouse. The accommodation is comfortable and cosy, ensuring a superb night's sleep, followed by a scrumptious breakfast with the newspapers. Feeling very relaxed and thankful at finding such a little gem.

Very enjoyable stay, allowing us to eat at the brilliant West House without having to negotiate the roads back to Canterbury. We had a large dog (a flatcoat retriever) which was made very welcome. Room was stunningly medieval yet totally comfortable. Caroline Oliver gave us a warm welcome as well as a good survey of Biddenden local history. Breakfast was...

Stayed here for night, brilliant old 1500's and quirky a nice blend of the old with the modern friendly atmosphere, the little touches make it special, fresh hops around the headboard, with little lights....no wardrobe but hangers in the ensuite on a laddering the rafters, you can't really have a shower if your over 5ft not enough headroom but who...

What a beautiful b&b so quirky and unusual and beautifully decorated. Received a wonderful welcome from Caroline and her husband and they were so helpful in sorting out some wine and beers for us after a long drive. The room was stunning and I totally fell in love with it! Breakfast was wonderful. So why not 5 stars? For us...

Emma and Caroline welcome you with a friendly smile and daytime greeting to this lovely tearoom where all the food is locally sourced and extremely tasty. This venue maybe one of the best I have had the good fortune to visit in many a year and one that I hope to return to in the near future. I cannot speak...

We had a lovely lunch here and will be back for sure. A little cozy and food well prepared and served. Toilets across the street are also very respectable so all in all great. We then went looking for the twins and had a lovely afternoon strolling around Biddenden. Try the all day breakfast - like your gran would cook!

So why not 5 stars? Because there was no proper shower in the bathroom and the headroom in my room was VERY limited. Dangerous in the dark in fact. But! It was superb. The house is ancient. I had the room under the eaves, hence the lack of headroom. Also explaining the lack of full shower. However, the room was...

We stayed in the attic room of this amazingly beautiful B&B, with private bathroom. It was superb - quaint, pretty, gorgeous decor and attention to detail. If you want somewhere old, atmospheric and so very pretty, the Bakehouse is the place for you. Warm and comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, excellent breakfast in the tea room downstairs, and all the staff...

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed our breakfast. Perfect to walk to the Pub, and Restaurant along the street. The stairs to the Attic need the skills of a mountain goat, the lack of curtain in the bedroom and the need to bend over, approaching the bed do make it special !
