Was a bit concerned when the satnav took us away from the city centre but I shouldn't have worried. The Amadis is in a perfect location for exploring. The first night we ate at the Royal Oak down the road....

We only stayed one night as we were making a flying visit to see our daughter (Uni Student) - but would gladly have stayed longer. As per previous reviews, everything was as expected. Dot and Geoff were welcoming and friendly, our room was clean, and breakfast really enjoyable. Will definitely be returning. Thanks

Our first night in England and we stayed at this hidden gem! Warm and welcoming, clean, cosy, really sweet and just great! The room was big and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the breakfast was great! Yoghurt or milk with different kinds of cereal and fresh fruit. And of course a proper English breakfast. We also had time for...

I really liked staying here. Breakfast was fantastic - I didn't fancy a full fry so Dot put out some fresh blueberries and strawberries! The bed was comfortable and Dot (the hostess) was great conversation. I would definitely stay again.
