From the birds on the wing to the seafood on the table, a stay at Premier Inn Hotel Canterbury North / Herne Bay means you're never far away from the delights of the east coast. This part of Kent is steeped in history, and the shopping's not bad either! Do some time travelling as you imagine what it was like being a centurion at Reculver Towers Roman Fort. Or travel the wide open spaces, as you enjoy the pristine unspoilt beaches of Herne Bay and Kent. Come here during the Herne Bay Festival and Carnival to make a great weekend of it, then travel back to the hotel for some lovely food at our Table Table restaurant and a great night's sleep.

I accept no bar or restaurant, due to covid. When you don't clean rooms, Change towels, I find that ridiculous. Never will i book with this shower again. Useless at all stages. I politely asked for clean towels. Nothing!

We stayed here for one night in October . Room was clean and spacious. Staff friendly . The best bit is the restaurant. The staff were lovely and provided great service. It is so covid safe and particularly the breakfast is great value for money . Good location , would stay again

Can't fault the price of my two night stay but this place must be due an upgrade soon. Nothing to bad but the room had a distinct musty smell about it, not over powering but enough to be aware of it, years of use and getting tired. Bed comfortable, TV worked fine, shower hot and powerful, but window didn't open and despite being double glazed didn't keep our side noise outside. Luckily with 10pm curfew in the pub opposite this wasn't a late night problem.

From the moment we walked in, it felt safe. Friendly and helpful staff on the reception, I requested a walk in shower as I had just had surgery on my shoulder, immediately they accommodated my request. The room was spotlessly clean. Very quiet. Had a great time and definitely would recommend. The only little negatives from me would be, windows cannot be opened and the heating and air conditioning needs sorted. Almost impossible to turn down and the room became so hot during night.

We have just returned from three days at this Premier Inn while exploring this part of the Kent coast. I had rung earlier in the week to request a top floor room, and this had been granted, as well as being in the new extension. The room, while being compact, was nicely furnished, although Premier Inn seem to be going towards a model of no storage, which seems a bit of a mistake. We only had one high shelf to put clothes on for both of us, so it was a good thing we weren’t there for any longer. As has been mentioned, the heating controls seem to be switched off each day, necessitating a trip to reception each time to request it to be switched on. I think this should be looked at, as the staff must get fed up of the frequent complaints about it. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower, which is a definite improvement on the older style rooms. All staff were very pleasant, especially the Manager. The location is ideal, and it’s easy to get into the town, or onto roads going to nearby places. Definitely a Premier Inn to recommend, and we will return if in the area again.
