Today's modern hotels have no character and are just interested in profits before the punter. Exploring further into the Walpole is a magical mystery of discovery, Thank god for eccentric English nutters. But... More

I have visited this hotel several times for cream teas and afternoon tea, every time the staff are friendly polite and efficient cant do enough for you. The food is very tasty and plenty of it. It's so nice to be able to look around all the memorabilia without staying there, such a nice different place to take someone for... More

Themed rooms around the hotels heyday of the 1920s and a very interesting art display. Certainly different -a step back in time - but the beds are comfy and the service is good. Breakfast though self service was plentiful and lots of choice.

Amazing and quirky place full of surprises.... Very happy atmosphere but still very professional. Clean rooms with all necessary provision. Mattresses a bit on the soft side.... Delicious breakfast! Would stay again for sure if I can find find a vacancy!!! Went out for a very long walk along the beach from Cliftonville to Broadstairs. Would definitely recommend!
