The owners of Glebelands retired In July 2012, they were friends of ours and had run the B&B very successfully for a number of years, we miss them in the village. Please be kind enough to look at their website where they explain what has happened to Glebelands. The telephone number is no longer available.

my daughter (age9) have just came back today after a 2 night stay here, wish we was still there.Bruce picked us up from the train station on saturday evening and he took me to the shop so i could get a bottle of wine, then back to the B&B which was lovely ,we was greeted by Rosemary at the door...

Although we stayed at Glebelands about a year ago, I feel I must write now to counteract the negative comment below. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights' stay and wished it could have been longer. Unfortunately, we arrived late - in the dark and the rain - but were welcomed warmly and immediately shown into the comfortable lounge, where we...

Rosemary and Bruce could not do enough for us. We would have chosen the double room, but that was already booked by another couple, who had been coming there for the last 4 years. We took the twin room for both nights, as it did not matter to us, but Rosemary said, without hesitation, we could have had the double...

Stayed here when we were attending a wedding in the area. Our room and bathroom were lovely, very clean and comfortable. Rosemary and Bruce offered to give us a lift to the venue if we required it. That would have been an added bonus if were going to have a few drinks. Our breakfast was just as we asked with...

Glebelands is a warmly welcoming and friendly home. Bedroom and bathroom were immaculate and comfortable, assuring a good night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious - apple blossom honey from the orchard across the road, golden eggs from the resident chickens, raspberries from the garden, sausages from the village butcher. Rosemary and Bruce are wonderful hosts - thank you for your flexibility...

What a lovely and helpful couple Rosemary and Bruce are, nothing was too much trouble. We were picked up from the station to save the walk and on arrival enjoyed a cup of tea and home made cake on the terrace in the sunshine. Well decorated and comfortable room and yummy breakfast. I highly recommend this place to anybody as...

My elderly mother and I have just recently spent a week at this most delightful bed and breakfast, whilst visiting family in the area. Having never stayed in a bed and breakfast before, I was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms are beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. The food was wonderful. It's worth a visit just to sample the breakfasts. The...

The very rude owner of the B&B informed me that during the daytime, he expects you to be out of his house, as "Remember...it is MYYY house, after all", and he wants to get on with HIS day in his house, and if it's raining, even if you don't want your room cleaned, it would "disturb him greatly" if you...

Having successfully run our 2 bedroomed B&B for the past 10 years and have only recently learnt about Tripadvisor, we are bitterly disappointed and very upset that Tripadvisor should publish an unsubstantiated criticism from a traveller who has never booked a stay or stayed here at Glebelands. The only question she asked on the phone in August was "could she...

We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely this B&B was. The house is in a great location with lovely owners. Rosemary and Bruce were perfect hosts, providing homemade cakes, a wondeful full english breakfast (oven baked!) and even gave us a lift to the neighbouring village where our party was. In addition, although we didn't take ours, they also accept...
