Premier Inn always has the basics such as body and hand wash, towels, tea and coffee facilities in the room, tv and charging ports, a comfy bed and all at an affordable price. - The location of this premier Inn is approx a 7 minute drive to Whitstable and and Tankerton beach so it is a great stay location for local tourism and visits. - Staff at the hotel were polite and helpful and welcomed me well. - Free on-site partaking available. - Beefeater restaurant and bar onsite attached to hotel so easily accessible abs guests get table booking and meal priority.

Hotel's Favourite
First things first.... having booked this hotel for work/leisure I was quite dubious about booking this particular hotel and I had a few questions I needed to ask after I had booked. on other end of the phone was a lovely young lady names Kirsty who was so pleasant, bubbly and informative, she immediately put me at ease, ensured me everything was good and answered all my queries. It's the little things I appreciate... this was my first visit to Whitstable and got slightly lost coming out of the train station so I called, again, Kirsty answered and gave me directions to the local cab office and also how much to pay so I don't get overcharged. Kirsty also took the trouble of making sure the heating in my room was on as it was a little frosty outside. The room was clean, smelt fresh and warm and toasty inside. Massive shout out to Kirsty and also Katie on the graveyard shift for being so nice and helpful. Marks's and Aldi just a 4 min walk away if you need anything. Although there is no breakfast and evening meal due to the Rona, I'd suggest getting snacks, drinks and munchies from the local store as the vending machine is very, very overpriced. Car park was empty. Hotel was quiet. No complaints. I look forward to staying here again soon.

Being part of NHS Suppor staff, with an exhaustive work load, we had to stay over at the Whitstable Premier Inn recently. The warm Wellcome and support from the Staff was truly appreciated! Big Thanks to Sonia, who went out of her way to book us into a convenient ground floor room due to my leg disability. The Reception staff/management, Chris and Vicky particularly were extremely helpful. Please pass on our Sincere THANKS for Excellent Service and help. Best Regards, from Sam & Raz

Please pass on my thanks to Kirstie. A good employee. Asset to your team. Fab service, very welcoming and kind. Had to change my booking due to snow. Also met Kirstie when I stayed too. She was very friendly and efficient in her job.

My room had no toilet roll what so ever, and a USED stained towel was folded up with a clean towel in the bathroom. I found it quite frankly disgusting, let alone the potential Covid risks given the current pandemic; I will be seeking further advice on this. When you enter the building you are often ‘greeted’ by a rude northern manager, who I can only imagine was raised feral given her pure lack of people skills and manners. None of the staff adhere to Covid rules and wear masks. There is another member of reception a plump girl with black hair which the slightest of requests; for instance more milk is always the biggest of efforts and to crack a smile would kill her it seems. I will comment on the fact there is a lovely tallish middle aged blonde receptionist that doesn’t wear a uniform who will go above and beyond for you, and a younger blonde receptionist who is polite. Other than that the entire customer service of this establishment needs retraining and their Covid rules - or lack of them need addressing, and like I say I will be looking at taking this further.

Response from Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants, Other at Premier Inn Whitstable hotel
Responded 25 Jan 2021
Hello there, thanks for taking the time to share your review. Whilst we're happy to hear you stayed with us, we're sorry you didn't receive the best service from the team and the room wasn't up to our usual standard. We can imagine this left you feeling concerned and this certainly isn't how we want our guests to feel. Just so you know, we've now passed your comments to the hotel management team to see what improvements can be made going forward. We wouldn't want standards like these to continue so this will be raised with the Reception and Housekeeping team to ensure any necessary retraining is arranged and the best service is being provided. We hope this doesn't make you think twice about returning so please have confidence this isn't our usual standard and your comments will be picked up. Thanks again for getting in touch and we hope to see you again soon. Ricky
