Lovely hotel in a great location with lots of amenities. Quick and easy check in and out. Friendly and helpful staff. Food good. Nice room and clean. Quiet and very comfy. Enjoyed use of spa facilities of the swimming pool and hydro pool. Would highly recommend a stay here.
I stay at this amazing hotel many times in a year usually try for one a month, and have been staying here for years and sometimes I even attend weekends in a row if I feel like it haha! Most recent I attended the Afternoon Tea with Santa in the Pennine suite yesterday, which was fantastic and so well organised considering the large volume of people who attended. But that's no surprise to me, the staff at this hotel are second to non. It is my happy place and I have stayed with a partner, friends, with my children.. It caters to everyone and any purpose for staying. Everyone I have brought with me now attends regularly themselves. It's not a place you visit only once. I am never as relaxed and happy as I am at The Last Drop It has never ever been anything less than superb! From the moment you arrive, the wonderful reception staff, particularly Rhianne who is just lovely, are attentive and professional but friendly. At the heart of The Last Drop are Gerrie, director and former manager (wonderful and warm man) And Franco the restaurant manager, he runs a tight ship and his staff are trained to his extremely high standards which is clear to see with their brilliant service. He is attentive and friendly and always a pleasure to see. The food is absolutely gorgeous, my personal favorite being the Bowland beef, its a must try. The breakfast has a relaxed atmosphere and as with the evening service, the staff are attentive and welcoming. My personal favorite rooms to stay in are the cottage rooms, they really are stunning, and the views are beautiful, would highly recommend a cottage room, especially if you have family members etc, as the rooms are in clusters of 3 and 4 which is great for group bookings. I have celebrated birthdays here often and each time I have requested a possible birthday plate in the room, the staff are more than happy to add these little extra touches to make the room even more special. The thermal spa facilities are fantastic, the hydro pool is like a huge open air hot bath! So therapeutic, I can't recommend enough. The hotel is stunning in all seasons, and in exchange season it looks so different. Winter is particularly stunning when it snows (great to be in the hydro pool when this happens) It's also so so noce when ther eis a wedding on, to see everyone so happy and dressed lovely relaxing in the bar etc, never chaotic like some places can be that hold weddings. If you like to walk, the hotel has walking routes and the friendly staff can give you a map and routes to follow. If you have pets the hotel is also animal friendly! I recommend this place to anyone, of any age. It really is a wonderful place and I cannot wait to come back in Jan, and Feb... And the rest of the year haha!! …
3 rd stay in in a few years luved every minute cannot fault it excellent food and staff . Very relaxing would highly recommend this place. Room very relaxing and bed slept like a baby keep up the good work will definitely return
The spa was overcrowded and dirty and the rooms were dated. We booked a slot in the spa and it was still overcrowded and was so small. It didn’t reflect the description on booking.com. There was no where to relax in the spa as all beds and chairs were in use and saunas all occupied for our visit
i must preface this by saying the catering and food at this hotel is amazing and delightful. sadly their rooms and spa were horrible. it started with them not being able to figure out what room we were in and messed up to layout we booked. after getting to our family room and entering, the strong smell of urine was stuffed into our nostrils. the bathroom was leaked bad air all over the room and after asking staff about it they had no room so they had to send a maintenance staff member to come and fix it. unfortunately this didn't work as all they did was spray some air freshener. after the bad experience and our lack of breathing ability we headed to the spa which they had also messed up. they had booked us in for a day when we were at the wedding we had been going to. me and my mother went down to the spa reception to book in at the thermal pool. the woman at the till after checking email proof allowed us to book and when we said we wanted the thermal pool she said i must be over 16 and didnt believe that i was 18. i then had to go and find my college id online to be allowed into a pool. she then stated how if i was getting a pint of larger i would need an id so i should always have it but i was swimming not drinking. this ageist woman deeply offended me and made me very upset. thinking it was finally time to chill i carried on through to be stopped again by another staff member at the pool door as he also didnt believe we had either booked or that i was old enough. this place seems to have a hard time improvising or being respectful. the wedding services were brilliant which is the only reason i did 2 stars but note that if this was a wedding review i would say 5 stars. assuming you are coming here for a short break. DON'T…
On the whole a positive 2 night break with friends. The hotel has everything you need under one roof, the staff were friendly and the meals and drinks were very good - we ate in the bar one night, breakfast and afternoon tea in the restaurant and pizza in the pub! Things we wished we’d known in advance…if you pay for breakfast upfront it’s cheaper, you only get a 50 minute slot in the pool and another 50 minute slot in the thermal pool per day. We were a group of 4 and could only be together on the Friday and were in 2 pairs on the Saturday. It is monitored as someone came round checking our names were on the list for that particular time slot! You can’t go between the pool and the thermal pool either. We were surprised to see children in the pool for a spa hotel too. Nothing against children playing in a pool, it was just a contrast to the relaxed atmosphere we were expecting. Unfortunately we didn’t sleep well due to loud music playing until 1.40am and then starting again at 7.30am. When it happened the 2nd night, we phoned reception and they were very quick to get the music stopped. I feel for the hotel as clearly it was once surrounded by fields but it’s now in a housing estate (albeit a nice one). The spa treatments were lovely and very relaxing. We’ve been to a few spa breaks and as long as your expectations are for a 3 star spa you’ll have a good time. …
Had a very relaxed stay here in the courtyard. Spa facilities excellent and 2 course meal and breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend Last Drop Village to anyone looking for a relaxing night away.
£25 for a cheap bottle of wine is disgraceful. £2.60 got a bottle of tonic water is also disgraceful. That is the only thing that lets the hotel down, the overnight stay was lovely and I will visit again but won’t be drinking alcohol
All the staff were lovely, the rooms were nice, all areas clean and well presented, spa and pool are lovely and relaxing, but I think it's a shame you have to be 16 to use the infinity pool. The food was exceptional as were the cocktails.
I Live in Bolton. My Girlfriend lives in Nottingham she had car issues on the way. I cannot thank the girls on reception enough for how quickly the rearranged everything for me. The plan was just to show her how much she means to me. The room was amazing the service was fantastic. She left feeling she was the luckiest woman on earth. So thankyou for everything Gary
