I think my title says it all really. Our room in the Abbey was very comfortable with a good bathroom and warm enough, even for me. It was also larger than the average hotel room these days. Breakfast was fine, even though it was only served at 8.30, but there were only two other couples in residence. The view from...

My wife and I and other members of Halifax Minster PCC spent 2 nights 3 days planning for the next church year at Whalley Abbey. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our room which was tastefully decorated and turned out to be extremely comfortable. The conference suites were well equipped and we were made to feel at...

Attended a 2 day training course in the grounds of Whalley Abbey. What a comfortable and relaxing place to learn. The food was plentiful and of a very good standard. The rooms in the majority were of a fair size. The only negative was the size of the shower for a large person it does not leave much to close...

I stayed here on business again, and the friendly welcome and beautiful surroundings were as good as on previous occasions. Food was delicious and cooked with care. Room was well equipped and very clean and tidy, with a comfy bed and lovely bedlinen. It would certainly be a fantastic place for a wedding without doubt, but I can unhesitatingly recommend...

We have been to Whalley a few times and always intended to visit the Abbey ruins. We were quite surprised at the location, being a lot closer to the main street than expected. We drove through the fantastic gatehouse into the courtyard and parked up. Signage is lacking and so we wandered around for a while then thought we would...

We stayed here for one night. The room had twin bed. The bed was good and the bathroom clean. It’s just 2 minutes walk to the main street. The breakfast was also very good. The surroundings of the abbey are lovely.

We booked our daughter's wedding here in September and had a wonderful day. The day ran smoothy and felt very relaxed. The staff are friendly and helpful and cannot do enough for you. The food was very good and the ruins are stunning for photographs. The bedrooms are well equipped and comfortable. I can highly recommend this place.

We held our wedding here in October and the staff were fabulous. The food was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Not to mention the stunning grounds and architecture to be the back drop for photographs. Many of our family have commented on how comfortable and relaxed it felt.
