I can thoroughly recommend a stay at this establishment. Nothing is too much trouble for the highly professional and efficient staff. Stayed for a couple of nights and had the 5 course tasting menu. Excellent. Although the 7 course tasting menu was on offer it would have been too much - even for my husband !!! Will definitely return.

We stayed here for two nights on our anniversary. We started by being upgraded to a suite which was very nice but notwithstanding that the hotel was superb. The staff insisted that this was not a hotel but staying in a country house and that is how it felt - and I have stayed in many such hotels. The atmosphere...

We visited Goldsborough Hall for afternoon tea on a cold but dry February afternoon. Prior to the walk we enjoyed a lovely walk around the grounds to see both the interesting collection of notable trees and then the extensive snowdrop collection, which certainly had varieties I had never seen before. We were given an information sheet which was very helpful....

Stayed here for a night on a weekend away to cheer ourselves up after a bout of illness. What a tonic! The house itself is very attractive and beautifully furnished (the owners still live here ). We were upgraded to a suite with a huge antique bed, views over gardens adrift with hundreds of narcissi and cherry trees in blossom,...

I was delighted when I drove into the driveway of Goldsborough Hall. The manager greeted me warmly and carried my bag to my room. I had booked for the dinner, bed and breakfast option. The food was outstanding and the young waiting staff were extremely polite and efficient. I stayed for 2 nights on business and after a day in...

The venue is truely outstanding and the guests that attended through the day said it was okay. However attending the evening reception for me left a lot to be desired. The hotel knew the numbers expected and should be experienced in catering for large numbers so you wouldn't expect to run out of draught beers so only able to offer...

We stayed for one night for my birthday. What a wonderful hidden gem. Excellent luxury accommodation, thoughtful touches. Service was consistently excellent from staff who are credit to the owners. We dined in the hotel and had the five course tasting menu, which could not be faulted. I was only able to find one fault and this really is nit...

Building stunning, gardens beautiful, staff friendly and efficient, food delicious. Simply the best night's accommodation I have ever experienced. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who gave us a quick tour of the house and showed us to our upgraded room. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious with a huge bed and impressive bathroom. Drinks in...

We stayed here last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff could not have been more helpful - we had a lovely tour and history lesson about the Hall when we arrived. Our room was gorgeous with a hand written note welcoming us from the owners. We then had the 5-course taster menu which was absolutely delicious - it...

Just returned from a lovely day/night at Goldsborough Hall. We spent the day as guests of my boss and his new wife who got married at the adjacent church and then held the reception at The Hall First class service, first class food, first class room - no need to say anything further

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Goldsborough Hall is a beautifully restored, privately owned stately home tucked away in the small village of Goldsborough, just off the A59 between Harrogate and the A1M. The 400yr old hall has had many residents through the years, being built for the high sheriff of Yorkshire, the last resting place of the eldest founding father to all thoroughbred horses and most famously the first family home of HRH Princess Mary, the aunt of our current Queen. ... more   less
