My husband booked a surprise trip away for my birthday, I was over the moon to find Lastingham Grange was our destination. This was our second visit, and it was just as good as the first. The attention to detail, incredible service and amazing food are the things that will keep us coming back time and time again. The stunning... More

Shame about the snow ; Lastingham Grange has superb gardens and it would have been lovely to have afternoon tea outside . However, there was a lovely fire inside and it was pleasant to look outside from the very comfortable arm chairs. My husband went to Lastingham Grange for afternoon tea. There was a very extensive range of teas and... More

With the family travelling overseas, I took a short walking break at this hotel. I had been meaning to stay for many years but had never got round to it. The stay was memorable for a variety of reasons. The location is frankly idyllic with the moors on the doorstep. The welcome is extremely warm, with courteous and personal service.... More

This hotel is a real find for us. We arrived plus two dogs for a few days walking. We were greeted by the very friendly owners who offered to help with us bags and told us that there was complementary scones jam and cream awaiting us in the lovely comfortable sitting room by the open fire - what a treat... Can't praise Lastingham Grange highly enough! It's like stepping back in time to an Agatha Christie novel. Had sandwiches and scones - the orange scones just melt in your mouth - the jam is to die for and you get a very generous portion of clotted cream. In fact I was so sad when the scone came to an end... More

We popped in here for a quick cup of tea whilst visiting St. Mary's Church, as part of the circular walk around Hutton-Le-Hole and Lastingham and I have to say it was like stepping back in time! A beautiful building in idyllic surroundings with friendly and attentive service from the Wood family. Absolutely worth a visit - you will not... More

Wanting to go to the war weekend railway spectacular at Pickering, the hotels were always going to be full. However, just seven miles further on is a real gem. Don't miss it. Never will you be better looked after.
