Reasonably prices and just off the A1(M) so a good place to break your journey north or south. There is a sell all shop just down the road and you are a short drive into town (Moulton). There is also plenty of off road parking at the front of the Hotel and more round the back.

Lovely surprise. On first impressions, I was a little unsure about this pub. It seemed a bit rundown and closed? However after locating fantastic Phil who showed us our room and gave us a warm welcome, things became a nice surprise. Great room, great shower, very good evening meal and an amazing full english breakfast the next morning cooked by... More

We visited here as we wanted a family room near the army base before our son enlisted - this fitted the bill perfectly as room 4 (the family room) has a double bedded room with a separate room with 2 full size singles in it. We had a lovely welcome after a LONG drive up - (beware the roadworks on... More

Bedroom nice and light and airy and plenty of space. We were staying for our sons pass out parade at Catterick and so glad we booked here. They had a quiz evening which we... More

Overall the place is lovely but as somewhere to sleep - no, to eat, yes so my review has mixed feelings. Food - we only ate here the one night, which was our first night stopping. My son ate off the childrens menu & myself & husband ate off the 2 for £13.95 which we both enjoyed. The breakfast each... More

My partner and I stayed here for two nights as part of a rest day during our Cost to Coast. Upon arrival, we were instructed to immediately complete two pieces of homework and decide what we wanted for breakfast in the morning. We had just walked 15 miles and would've appreciated perhaps being given some time to settle in first.... More

Ritchie, You was politely asked to complete the breakfast slip and return it to the bar staff before 9pm, you was not instructed to complete homework at all? Why you would perceive completing a breakfast slip as homework I do not know. The rooms are absolutely not "very dirty" at all and if the taste of the modern decor is... More

Stayed on Saturday 6th August for a family wedding in Tunstall. Passed by this Pub alot over the years as family live in Catterick Village. Initial thoughts on arrival nice little b&b in a rural setting and a nice enough twin room for one night. Everything seemed ok. Sunday morning day of departure got up, had the worst possible shower... More

We stayed for two nights last week as we were attending a wedding nearby. Received a really lovely welcome and they went out of their way to help. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.
