My husband and I have just spent 5 nights at the Manningtree, this was our first visit . The Manningtree was recommended by word of mouth by a friend and after reading the reviews on this site it was decided so many people can't be wrong. None of the above prepared us fully for what we found, from the off...

Stayed here at the end of our C2C walk. Our hosts were talkative, friendly and helpful, welcoming us into their house, which has been tastefully decorated. The rooms were of a size commensurate with the property (it's a suburban type semi, but quite large), and felt just right, generously provisioned with sockets and everything else the weary traveller needs these...

Nice room, well cared for, lots of nice touches for the price. Katy and Steve are friendly and generous with their time. They accommodated a couple of unusual requests. Great place to finish the Wainwright coast to coast walk!

Here we are again at the end of the trip. This always happens. Time to go home. Delighted to be here but sad to be leaving the UK. We have stayed here multiple times over the past 12 years and are amazed every time we walk into the room. How is it possible that EVERYTHING sparkles and everything looks brand...

This is our third visit and it does not disappoint. Nice clean modern rooms, and perfect hosts. Situated at the top of the bay, parking is on side streets, although there are two bays in front of the house. Nice breakfast choices, and nicely cooked food.

What an absolute treat it was to stay at this home-from-home B&B. The en suite room was comfortable, well equipped and spotless with lots of little homely touches right down to fresh flowers in the room. The house is beautifully decorated and has a lovely ambiance as soon as you walk through the door. Cathy and Steve are great hosts,...

Last stop on C2C and we were tired (took 12 days and the last two were in baking hot sun) so Steve's efficient check in was appreciated. He's thought of everything (information pack is thorough) and cooks a mean breakfast - even offering to allow us to come down a little earlier than the 0800 first serving so that we...
