Lunch service was very slow, we sat in the bar for pre-lunch drinks & was told our table was ready...20 minutes later we got our starter..the seafood pancake was luke warm on the inside..the waitress apologised....20 minutes later we were served our main...

We stopped off on the way home from a visit to the North East. Not our first visit. The room are individually decorated spacious and lovely. The food be it afternoon tea or an evening meal is superb. Our only problem with this visit was when we booked we were told we would be eating in the bistro. However when...

Four of us went for Sunday lunch and were really impressed with the food. Most restaurant Sunday lunches are over priced and definitely not worth the money. However we all said how gorgeous the food was here. A little bit more expensive but what a difference a few pounds make. The only negative about the place was there was no...

The Hotel, room, restaurant and the staff are excellent well worth a stay! Special thanks to Bartek and the Team! Nothing is too much trouble and everyone was so friendly. Loved the restaurant downstairs and the cosy lounge with open fires.

We went here after being bought a gift voucher for 50 pounds. All I can say is the balance I paid was about what it was worth. Certainly nothing special and not made to feel particularly welcome. The menu was explained very poorly which resulted in mistakes with ordering. Won't return.

My wife and I decided to have dinner at this hotel that we last visited some years ago. It is now in different hands being part of Providence Inns, who also own several good local eateries. We always like to eat early rather than late and so qualified for the early bird menu which was great value. I had the...

We had slight difficulty finding this hotel, passing it before we saw it! We will know next time! Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and will return. We had Room 3 which was large and very pleasant. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, which...
