We booked Rowleth End last minute on line and were intrigued by the 'quirky' description of the guest house. We were greeted warmly by Roger, shown to our room and relaxed prior to a lovely home cooked meal. The room was very comfortable, well presented and had a beautiful dual aspect view. We enjoyed meeting other guests in the bar...

Miscalculation on our part to stop here after Keld on C2C rather than go on to Reeth as journey to Rowleth End was too short and left us 2 - 3 miles to make up the next day Very quiet B&B so we were only guests at dinner which was a bit strained Nice room - very clean and well...

Right from the start Roger made us feel welcome by sharing his home with us. Roger is an excellent host, cook and raconteur. He let us borrow his own dog Buster to walk with our dog Sam on a wonderful trek through magical Dales scenery near by. Roger has a keen eye for detail and Rowleth End is comfortable, quirky...

Beautiful home from home, a totally different experience sharing Rogers' lovely house. The setting is beautiful, the view from the all aspects just lovely. We booked dinner for the first night and it was so good we had no hesitation booking in again the next night. The bedroom was lovely with everything provided for thoughtfully from the fluffy dressing gowns...

Amazing views, very comfortable bed tea coffee and biscuits as well as several different bottled waters . The room was nicely presented. We were shown around the house by the proprietor Roger who was very kind and helpful...

Thank you for an enjoyable stay. We had the luxury room, comfy bed, beautiful views and plenty of room to relax have a coffee and look out over the dales. The cooked breakfast was very tasty - excellent sausages and duck eggs offered. The host was very accommodating, making us fresh coffee when requested, turning lights off outside for me...

My wife and I booked at short notice at the end of a short break, not knowing what to expect, we found the welcome from the characterful proprietor Roger genuinely warm, we were given a tour of the houses beautiful Art Deco rooms and shown to our ample and welcoming en-suite room. The bar/tv room was comfortable but would benefit...

Earlier this year we decided, after comming accros a very good (or very bad??) website, to book a week in The Rowleth End. What an experience it has been! Upon arriving and seeing the mess in front of the house, meeting our host who was barefeet and wearing a more than dirty t-shirt, smelling a not ventilated house we could...

My husband and myself spent 4 nights in this b&b. Both breakfast and evening meals were of good standard, and one of the volunteers even baked a cake for us! We felt very welcome and relaxed around the house with a good company of Roger's pets. I can't share any of the negative feedback about a standard of cleanliness- our...

I discovered Rowleth End by Googling 'unusual B&Bs in the Yorkshire Dales' and we weren't to be disappointed. As we arrived we were greeted by Roger, given a tour of the lovely house and asked if we fancied shearing a sheep! (That's certainly unusual!)There's also a photo of the resident Golden Labrador, Buster, in the hall and he's asking to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Are you weary of stress and hectic living, and need to breathe new energy into body and soul? Then Rowleth End is for you. Hospitality at its best; on weekends, more a house party than a hotel or guest house. Its five guest bedrooms are individually styled with quality beds and period furniture. The evening menus feature the very best of local produce. Log fires; local real ales at the bar. Relax in style and comfort, yet with plenty of informality. ... more   less
