We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the end of February. The price of £99 per night for dinner, bed and breakfast plus a bottle of prosecco was a deal through Classic Lodges. The reception staff were very welcoming and handed over the key to our room on the second floor - a rather long walk. The twin...

Loverly 300 year old coaching Inn which is now the White Swan hotel. Pleasant friendly staff, good size room overlooking the rear of the building. Free car parking, but if full you can park for free in the public car park at the back of the hotel, less than 2 minutes walk. Good choice of food for breakfast including full...

Old style hotel from outside complete with revolving door. We popped into the bar area for a drink which also doubles up for a restaurant/tea room area. The place was really nice and had a good atmosphere going, although we did not order food they seemed to be doing a brisk trade and it was a decent place to spend...

Can only echo what the previous reviewer has wrote. All staff friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, room clean and more than adequate for our needs. Ate in the Olympic restaurant, excellent food in great surroundings served by friendly staff. Breakfast was more than ample. In all a lovely stay and would highly recommend The White Swan.

We booked one night with dinner bed and breakfast. The deal we booked included a free bottle of Prosececco, this was waiting in our room on arrival. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Dinner was served in the magnificent Olympic Restaurant. The Olympic was the sister ship to the Titanic and the restaurant was identical. When the Olympic retired,...

Upgraded to the Alnwick Suite, which was a very nice and welcome gesture. Nice, warm and homely hotel. Good breakfast with table service. Excellent hotel and area for a short break. The only negative was the room did not have double glazing and was therefore, being at the front of the hotel, a bit noisy for a light sleeper.
