We stayed here during August 2013 school holidays. Pros: Friendly staff Clean, fresh smelling rooms Cosy restaurant downstairs. Free wifi Great location near castle and gardens Large, free carpark Large comfortable beds Cons: Dated decor Mouldy shower needs an update Noisy on Tuesday (rubbish bin night) 3am This wasn't the poshest hotel, but absolutely suited our needs. My mum and I stayed here for a short break wanting a nice relaxing time, which is exactly what we got! From the minute we arrived, nothing was too much trouble and every member of staff was professional, friendly and extremely helpful. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and our luggage was carried up to the room, (really helpful as...

This "restaurant with rooms" has a number of good points but other areas detract from the overall rating. It has its own large car park, although the side entrance from the car park to the hotel is only open when the restaurant is open; someone quickly appeared when we rattled the door but it is one of the reasons why...

We chose to stay at The Tower whilst visiting local attractions such as Alnick Castle and the Farne Islands. The hotel is situated seconds away from the gardens which provides the added benefit of not having to pay parking fees. Upon arrival the hotel was empty and after several minutes we found someone to show us our room (maybe quite...

The hotel (http://www.thetoweralnwick.com/) has a great position, being within walking distance from Alnwick's sites including the fantastic Alnwick Castle & Gardens. The management & staff couldn't be more helpful, the rooms are very clean, our bed was extremely comfortable and (English) breakfast was great. Our only concern is that being on a relatively busy road it can be rather noisy...

The staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfast was lovely. Free car park at the back just what we needed.

Stayed here last week as a stop over for one night. We were made very welcome by Mark and shown to our room at the front of the building, the room was large but very dated. The bed was comfy and the linen clean but the overall impression was one of neglect. We had dinner downstairs and had the two...

Would not recommend this place to anyone. The location is good, however Alnwick is a small place so everywhere is close. To sum this place up the owner is cashing in on the tourist trade and the fact that accommodation is limited in Alnwick, so the room standards are low and still the bookings are coming. The accommodation fit out...

Lets start with the positive side to the stay the young staff were friendly, clean and accommodating which i cannot fault them for. There was a free car park at the rear of the hotel which is situated in the centre of Alnwick close to the castle and gardens and the Treehouse Restaurant. Unfortunately they are the only positives I...

Stayed here for two nights. Location right in the middle of Alnwick and about a 2 minute walk to gardens and castle. Accommodation was excellent car park at the back was also a bonus. Had breakfast both mornings. The selection was good and the food first class. Staff are very friendly and I would stay again if I was coming...
