on our trip through Uk we tried to mix up our accommodation by including a small country style pub. This pub filled the bill perfectly, the owners were friendly & welcoming. Our room up a fantastic spiral staircase was surprisingly large with modern renovations. Excellent location easy walking to all the attractions of the City. The Parking next to the...

Happened upon this pub just as they were opening for Sunday lunch. The lunch is served carvery style and was £7.50 for a large plate. 3 meats on offer and a substantial selection of vegetables. Children welcome, with a "regular" plate-sized meal also available. Food was delicious. Would definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

No bad points as the room and service was tip top, very friendly staff. the only fault in the room was that the toilet seat was loose and no shelves in the bathroom and the extractor did not work. but overall we would visit again.

We stayed here for a family wedding in the local area, overall our experience was very good. We checked in and was shown to our room approx 2pm and given details for breakfast. The staff explained that the pub closes around 12am and gave us a key to use the emergency exit door incase we wanted to come back later....

We arrived early in the day before the room was ready, so they held our bags in the stairwell behind the bar so we could go out and explore the town/castle before checking in fully. We had booked the Lady Jane Grey room, it was large with a decently comfortable bed and big nice towels, overall a little on the...

This is a pub with rooms. The room itself was very good and very big you could get lost in the enormous bed and was very comfortable. The room also had a bath There is free parking although the car park is a bit run down, adequate breakfast the following morning, all in all enjoyable stay

We booked here at the last minute in June 16 and regretted it very soon after arrival. Access to the rooms is via a door marked "Mens Toilet", and is so close to it that the smell coming from it was dreadful. The stairs to the accommodation are disgracefully dirty and smelly, through a storage area that is cluttered and...

The bathroom toilet seat was loose & bath handrail was loose a few adjust mementos would help. The breakfast was just ok -lots of beans on top of fried bread , sausage & bacon could have been nicer , no fruit. Just...

We were a bit unsure about the place when we walked in to the pub as the smell of air freshener was strong and that is a put off for me. When we were shown the room it was lovely though. Exceptionally clean, with a comfortable bed, and vey quiet too. There was an air freshener in the room too,...
