My husband booked an overnight stay here for both of us as a Christmas present. We stayed on the 14th January for 1 night. From the off all of the staff that we encountered were warm, friendly and very helpful. We were very happy with our room and we ate in the restaurant too. The lady in the restaurant was...

Out for lunch and a friends treat. Service Very slow and when food eventually did arrive it was very disappointing. The soup was lukewarm and the bread for sandwiches was bog standard white sliced! My crab tasted salty and "off" What really annoyed us was the price_£8.95 for above sandwich, few lettuce leaves and small tin of chips!! Grossly overpriced...

Looking for somewhere nice but not too expensive I came across Victoria Hotel, read the reviews as you do and decided to book in for 2 nights, being a Friday & Saturday. Toooooo hot. Lying under a towel as room is 25c and quilt is tog 16. Avoid room 2 you get the smell of fish if the windows are open and get woken up by people walking past on the creaky floorboards. Staff a bit dozy as they brought main course before clearing first course then brought back the then cold...

The experience I had at the Victoria hotel was reasonably comfortable and warming. The staff where kind and helpful. The food was good in hygiene and taste and the rooms where up to high standards, as o expected them to be. We picked this hotel mainly because we where taking the dogs with us which is a massive problem when...

We had a very nice stay here in the first week in January. The room was good with plenty of room and had a really good bathroom and shower. In places the decoration was a bit shabby but this didn't spoil our stay. The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. We got...

This hotel is excellent. We had a great room on the ground floor with a door to outside so it was perfect for our dog. The bar and restaurant were very good and the staff helpful and friendly. We'll return!

Went here for dinner with family. To say I am unimpressed is an understatement. We waited almost an hour for food, no explanation given. When asking on the status of our order we were met with rudeness, bordering on passive aggression, and basically laughed at. When the food eventually came, the waitress made no attempt to ask who's was who,...
