Stayed for one night only but was immediately impressed by the friendly, helpful and welcoming staff who immediately rushed to help me carry a huge amount of heavy luggage to my room which was on the first floor. This was a spacious standardised room, clean, well appointed and with a very comfortable bed with beautiful views across rolling fields. Much...

A small group of friends, we chose to stay here primarily for its location to allow us to explore both Bamburgh and Lindisfarne. There is (limited) accommodation in Bamburgh itself but it can be very pricey. Purdy Lodge was superb value in every respect. The rooms were well-equipped, clean, reasonably spacious and quiet. Although the building is by the A1,...

Helpful friendly staff, clean & comfortable room, though bed a bit soft. Very good food. Better than Premiere Inn overall. On the A1 and very convenient for Lindisfarne, Bamburgh (ask for money off vouchers for Bamburgh Castle) & Seahouses only 15mins drive for Farne islands boat trips.

We had a one night stay and were very glad that it was no longer. The Lodge is similar to a Travelodge but not as good. We were greeted by a young woman who handed us our room keys and made no effort to show us anything else, just stated the breakfast times. Our room was on the first floor,...

Thank you for leaving us a review following your stay. I am sorry that you were not happy with your stay but I do feel as though your comments are a little unfair. The windows in the bedrooms are not actually locked, they are fitted with catches to stop them opening fully for safety reasons but they do open. If...

We stayed in Purdy Lodge from 2nd -5th June. The room en-suite was good, tea, coffee facilities. The food was excellent and the Staff were very helpful. A good deal £50 per night each - Dinner, bed and breakfast. Would recommend it.....saw the Puffins in Farne islands, fantastic treat! Jenny John

I stayed at Purdy Lodge for 2 nights with my mum. We booked here as to be perfectly honest it was really cheap. The lodge is 5 miles from Bamburgh & you can see the castle from your room. Although is is on a main road, there is no noise as rooms are to the back. The room was ok,...

Situated right on the A1 but all rooms seem to face the coast. A group of 20 of us were spending our second night here while riding the Coast and Castles route, so we were pretty tired on arrival. We had been asked to pre book our food, which helped make sure that we didn't have too much of a...

We had been to Purdy Lodge a couple of years ago and as we were going back to the North East it seemed logical to book again. The hotel room itself (which was a family room) was clean, with good views across open countryside and more than adequate for our stay. The food was very good and portion sizes were...

Well I had left it to the wife to book somewhere. When we got here and I saw all the trucks, I knew exactly where I was. I don't remember the Hotel being here though years ago. Anyway booked in and couldn't fault the welcome. Very friendly and pleasant. The room was clean and tidy, décor tired. But like I...

About the same as a travelodge, bit outdated, tiling needs looking at in bathroom, stains on the carpet but clean, which is number one for me. Comfortable bed. Good stop off on the A1, lovely views of the coast and Bamburgh castle. Decent enough breakfast, friendly staff.
