My partner had the whole cod, no info on menu regarding bones/staff not able to advise on it. Arrived chock of bones which he said made it unpleasant to eat. My chicken arribiata tagliatelle was bland. Homemade chips were lovely however.

The food is of a good standard however the choice is very limited. The pub itself is very welcoming and the staff seem friendly. This pub is situated on the A1 next to the opening for holy island , makes a great stop over when visiting the area.

we have recently spent three nights in room 11 (ground floor with wet room) The first impression is fine, but the room is quite dark. The bed was not the most comfortable and there was only one chair to sit on to watch tv. The bathroom was well equipped but had very little storage space for toiletries. The lack of...

Don't be put off by the unprepossessing architecture of this gastro pub cum hotel on The A1 south of Berwick on Tweed. Nestled next to a petrol station you think it might be a truck stop but OMG it so isn't. It's contains a lovely comfortable bar and restaurant with really really friendly staff. The Farne Island Ale is to...

Been again to this establishment again today and I must say they have upped their game. The staff are excellent the meals have also improved to a very high standard. Nice local beers with a wide range of wines. I will with my family be visiting again in the nit too distant future.

inn clean staff friendly , but there was a 35 min wait between ordering the cooked part of the breakfast and us getting it . As we were completing St Cuthberts Way , this did not help us leave when we wanted . An idea would be to put phones in the room ( there were sockets) , being somewhat...

Thank you for leaving this review, So sorry to read you had a waiting time at breakfast. We do try to cook our fresh breakfasts as quickly as possible but can be a slight delay when the Inn is busy. As we are an Inn we do not have telephones in our rooms. We do hope to see you again...

We didn't stay long, having arrived just after ten pm and leaving after breakfast, but I was quite impressed. Our room had a massive bed, a nice sized shower and fantastic fluffy towels. The staff serving us breakfast were pleasant and we enjoyed our stay, however brief.

Recently stayed here for three nights, good clean and comfortable room with powerful shower and efficient wifi connection. Food is really good quality, well priced and decent size portions, really nice to see local game and produce being supported. I'm looking forward to returning to stay again this winter.

We were an older family group of 5 people eating here only. As we arrived the restaurant area was starting to fill up. From what I saw and ate the food on our table was very good. The service was very good. The location is good on the A1 right on the turning for the Holy Island. Would recommend this...
