We were given room 4 this trip what a great room double aspect and the bathroom was very large. The hotel was quiet as far a staying guests...

Normally, i book a best western hotel. There were nine available in the area and so the office at work booked me in here. I was tired when i arrived and was pleased the hotel was just off the A1. It was so easy to get to and was signposted. As i was late the restaurant was shut, but the...

Set in a nice location, unfortunately due to the foggy weather we went past the entrance twice but due to the nice lady at the hotel on the roundabout we finally found it. The room was comfortable the only thing that let it down were the cobwebs and the stains on the shower curtain. The evening meal made up for...

I went to the hotel for a meeting. If you don't know the location, it's difficult to find. No sign on the northern roundabout at Berwick and only one sign on the A1. If you miss that, as I did, you have to take another exit and turn round. Plenty of parking. No staff on reception or in the bar...

This gentleman neither stayed at the hotel nor dined here. The meeting was an instructional course for people caught speeding. It is a little bit surprising that he has chosen to write a guest review but having done so I will reply. This is the first time anyone has reviewed their toilet experience but in case it is in anyway significant...

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst on business in the area. I was offered a warm welcome, nothing seemed too much trouble, and the food was fantastic! Breakfast cooked to order, or even made to take away was equally great. The owners have plans from the January to make more renovations which can only improve things. I'd love to...

We visit Marshall Meadows yearly, for a dose of serenity, which is exactly what it delivers. It is a country hotel with character, and very attentive staff who give a personal touch and first class service. It offers a very enjoyable dining experience which enhances the stay. The hotel is rurally situated, and close to the coast giving stunning views.

We arrived late on the Friday evening having missed our restaurant time. The staff had rung us to enquire our ETA and rearranged the meal for us. Excellent food, well worth the wait. The public rooms were nicely decorated but found the bedroom in need of an upgrade. Tiles cracked in the bathroom and cheap bedding. This did not detract...

Marshall Meadows is an authentic Georgian, 3 star country house Hotel, standing in around 15 acres of peaceful grounds with sea views. It is uniquely situated just outside the historic town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed only a stone's throw away from the A1 crossing point of the Scottish Border. The hotel comprise 19 letting rooms, in addition to a main bar, residents' lounge, restaurant, large function area and music room, conservatory and terrace overlooking a large well manicured front lawn. Entrance to the grounds is via a tree-lined driveway flanking a wooded stream. The rear of the hotel overlooks a farmyard, paddock and walled garden. The location allows easy access to the main town, Northumberland Coastal attractions such as Holy Island and Alnwick Castle, National Parkland and the Scottish Border Regions. ... more   less
