We stayed at linden hall for one night as a treat for myself and husband. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the hotel itself is lovely. We booked an executive room which I was not too impressed with, to me it was more like a spacious standard bedroom. We had a bottle of water and fruit on arrival and apart from...

I'm not usually one for leaving a poor review but after our stay at Linden Hall, I feel that I have to share a few things. Arrival was great - reception staff were very friendly and informative. We went straight up to the room to be met by a wall of cold! On one of the coldest days of the...

We have just come back from Linden Hall on what should have been a romantic valentines break away in the hotel we were married at, but we have come away feeling let down! Lets say it did not live up to our expectations and happy memories of the Linden Hall we fondly remembered. We arrived at 3pm for check in...

I booked afternoon tea for my daughter and I, as a birthday treat for me. On arrival we were approached by a gentleman, I told him I had booked afternoon tea and he mumbled something and gave us a strange look. He pointed to a table, where we sat down. We were asked if we wanted tea or coffee and...

A bit disappointed at our recent stay having stayed before. The room was fine although windows could not open to get some air and let out the huge fly. Having had a spa on previous stay was looking forward to the facilities. Again a let down: Hot tub not working. toilet filthy (stains on toilet seat , no loo rolls...

Lovely welcome upon arrival from reception staff. Checking in all thorough and pleasant. On first appearances the room was clean and fit for purpose. After unpacking we headed to the spa. It was disappointing that the Jacuzzi was out of order. The light in the steam room was a little concerning as the outer plastic casing had melted and it...

I visited Linden Hall spa with my sister this week for my birthday. We booked for an all day spa day inclusive of a deep tissue back massage. When we arrived at the hotel we were directed to the spa. Once we found the spa we were given our robes/towels/slippers and shown to the 'spa' area. The place was nice...

Linden Hall is a hotel set in some beautiful grounds with a superb golf course on the doorstep. There is a spa set on site although I did not visit. The hotel itself has some very grand common areas and the dining rooms are large but comfortable. The hotel has a very welcoming feel and the staff throughout the hotel...

Stayed for 2 nights and what a beautiful setting and great staff - very helpful and friendly whilst remaining professional. Sadly the hotel is in need of some TLC - my room was very dusty, not sure when the crockery had last been used and the shower was scorching one minute then cold the next. Breakfast was ok but really...

We stayed here after our wedding night at Morpeth. We were greeted warmly and congratulated on arrival. We were even given a upgrade to our room which we weren't expecting! Lovely building, beautifully kept. Stunning views across the countryside golf course from our room. Nice added touches such as dressing gowns and slippers were provided. The breakfast was delicious the...

Thank you for your review, It’s great to hear you enjoyed your stay with us at Macdonald Linden Hall and found the food to be superb. It is also pleasing to hear all staff you encountered during your stay were very good and polite. It’s a shame you didn’t get time to use the spa, you must treat yourself next...
