As I was on my way from Glasgow to the Midlands I fancied a change from the west side to the east side of the country. I found The Morpeth Lodge with my laterooms app and I Googled the number. After a quick call I had successfully booked a room so I set off from Glasgow to find it. 150...

Stayed overnight in this hotel and was very impressed. Quiet, comfortable and clean, very comfortable beds. Don't know the name of the member of staff on reception that night, 8 April but he cooks a very good breakfast. Buffet style with good choice of hot foods. Also cereals, breads, fruit juice, coffee etc. Would recommend this as a good place...

We chose this hotel for its reasonable price and central position. The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment but there was no disturbance and we had a newly refurbished room. It was a reasonable size and very clean and the beds were comfortable. The owner and staff were very pleasant and Phil, the Manager could not do enough for us.

A rather nice little place albeit with 'Work in progress'. The building was seemingly created from a few cottages with a new wing added which appeared to give access to the enclosed/walled car-park that was accessible via an archway entrance that could accommodate Transit type vans. There was more than ample CCTV coverage of the whole site - both inside...
