We stayed here in our own caravan, it is very peaceful and relaxing, great for walks and dogs, I am in a wheelchair and was able to access the forest paths straight from the site which was great. But a little uneven in places. We were infested by midges though so take protection if staying here.

Thank you for your review. It is so lovely to hear that you were able to access some of our tracks that lead into the forest via your wheelchair and you were able to relax here. We recommend that you pack repellant spray etc for certain times of year depending on weather conditions.Hope you can visit us again :) .

My partner and I have just returned from a beautiful 3 night stay in the little owl lodge, celebrating our 1 year Anniversary. The holiday park is nice and relaxing which suited us perfectly! Owners are so friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Our lodge was 1 bedroom but more than enough space, nipping clean and so comfortable. The kitchen was...

This was just what we needed, total relaxing break. The site is very quiet not a lot to do but that suited us, we stayed in a pod our friends brought there tourer. The weather wasnt good but we made the most of it! The pods are basic but heating and lighting supplied the shared was just across from us...

This was a spur of the moment holiday in early August in our new wee camper. Oban or Northumberland was the choice until we saw the weather forecast for Oban. South it was. On the way south we phoned the campsite owner who found a pitch for us despite not having booked. In the end we stayed two nights. We...

We were only here the one night but it was a nice place, sadly nothing much to do in the area and no real available walking routs to easily pick up. We were just in a big field with was quite quiet given the time of year it was. Toilets were outdoor ones and weren't too bad.

Thank you for your review, there have been a few changes since your visit last year,we no longer accept tents other than back packers or Pennine Way walkers and Duke of Edinburgh groups, the toilets are now enclosed with further upgrades imminent. I was rather surprised about your comments regarding the walks maps are available on request as there are...

Had a two night stay in two pods, one bigger then the other but ideal for us. Heaters and lighting included. Site is good, the toilets and kitchen facility's were a 10 second walk away from us. Also the owners are lovely too. Would 100% recommend! Ideal for quiet surroundings, long walks and lovely people. Will be back in the...

A perfect little campsite with excellent facilities and the most friendly owners! There are walks into the forest right on your doorstep and a sweet little stream onsite which the dog loved. Only stayed for one night but felt very rested after a long day walking in Kielder. Hope to return soon for a longer stay.

This is a fantastic location with great walks nearby. However the accommodation is basic for the price you pay compared to other lodges I've stayed in. When we arrived the windows had been left open and the rooms were full of mosquitos, both of us have come away covered in mosquito bites we got during the night. The lodges are...

Thank you for your review We take great pride in our lodges as you can see from other reviews and your experience is certainly not the standard we expect for our guests. All our lodges are self catering but we do happily provide dishwasher tablets, bin liners, toilet rolls, oven gloves, t.towel and washing up liquid. A small jug of fresh...

We actually visited this site a fair while ago but was just looking through some old pics and found some taken while there and thought I'd add add a review for them as I've only recently come across Trip Advisor! We visited as a couple (i.e. no kids / grandkids with us) and found it a fantastically relaxed get away....
