Very pleasant one night stay on a cycling trip.Bob and Ginny were very welcoming and affable, and provided some nice touches on arrival and upon leaving. Room was very comfortable and had a nice view of the pretty garden. There was provision for the secure keeping of cycles(there were 4 of us) which is always high on our list of criteria....

My wife and I loved Wooler and Millyard House. Bob and Ginny were GREAT hosts. They are friendly and helpful and make a great full English breakfast. The location made it easy to get into town, and we were doing St Cuthbert's Way and it was out the front door to pick up the trail again. Can't wait to go...

The rooms were nice and comfortable, the conservatory a lovely place to have breakfast. Slight noise from the plumbing system in one bedroom, but not disturbing to spoil holiday. The owners were the best, really accommodating and helpful. Would stay here again, if we go to Wooler. Wooler itself is small, not much of a good choice in eating in...

Thank you so much for the kind review. It's great that you enjoyed your stay and it would be great to see you back again if you are in this lovely part of the country. With regard to the beds, The bedsteads are indeed old and are essential to the ambiance of the bedrooms. The mattresses however are not old....

We have recently returned from a 4 night stay in the North East, which we thoroughly enjoyed, in no small part thanks to our stay at Millyard House. The accommodation was comfortable, with bedrooms and the conservatory (where breakfast was served) overlooking a very pleasant garden. Breakfast provided all we could wish for, and it was well cooked and beautifully...

Ginny and Bob are such wonderful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Bob even kindly offered to pre-book our table in the local Italian restaurant in Wooler. Much appreciated after a long day walking in the hills. Ginny's breakfast is an unforgettable start to the day. Hope to return very soon.

Let me tell you why the kippers you'll get for breakfast, if you stay with Bob and Ginny, are the best in Northumberland. Partly, it's because Bob cooks them wet so they come straight to you from their kett- ling with a toothsome, creamy smokiness rather than that grilled and acrid dryness which elsewhere, believe me, is what you'll get....

A lovely 2 night stay while walking St Cuthbert's Way. Bob and Ginny were very welcoming with a pot of tea on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable room with a wonderful breakfast. Bob kindly picked me up at the end of the second day's walking and took me back to the route the next day.

We arrived drenched, and were instantly dried, warmed, fed and watered by people who felt like family. Bob and Ginny could not have been more welcoming: they anticipated our every need and we cannot recommend them too highly!
