Stayed there with our Jack Russell for first night of our St. cuthbert walk. We didn't eat there that evening as we wanted to explore Wooler. But in hindsight it looks like they do do good food. The place has a friendly reservation desk lad who makes you feel welcome which is nice. The room was fine. Old fashioned touches...

We stayed here for 2 nights and had our yorkie with us. Lovely staff, so friendly, room spotless and bed very comfortable. Lovely bar area with roaring fire (dog friendly) and the menu varied, food really delicious. Would definitely return. Thank you.

After a long days walking a perfect meal at the Tankerville Arms was exactly what was needed. The food was beautifully cooked and they coped with all our individual requirements including gluten free and starters instead of mains. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

Great place to stay if you intend to explore the region. The hotel offers good food (although vegetarian selection is poor) good ale and the family bedroom was huge and very comfortable. We stayed out of season and the hotel was very quiet. we had the dining room to ourselves for breakfast and the bar to ourselves in the evening....

After a long day of sightseeing, we had planned on ending the day at an establishment with the same name, but mistakenly stopped at the Tankerville Arms Wooler We were not disappointed. A warm welcome, great beer and possibly The best steak pie I have ever eaten. Well worth a visit.

We decided last minute to have a night away and chose the Tankerville. We loved it from the minute we walked in to the cosy welcoming bar. We love traditional places that have not been spoiled. It was freezing outside so we settled by the roaring fire and had a local beer - bliss!! Staff so friendly and we settled...

We went to the Tankerville Arms today for lunch, and we had a fantastic lunch. The chap behind the bar was incredibly helpful and kind, there was a lovely gentleman in when we were who was friendly and welcoming(I think his name is Eric) and the food was out of this world. My mum had a beautiful Ham omelette, and...

stayed 28 - 31 Dec which I booked back in Sept at a room rate of £55 / night with breakfast. The old coaching inn is very comfortable with a good bar and good quality food served by friendly staff. The room was a decent size and well presented having been recently refurbed. A charge of £5 was levied for...
