"Rowen Guest House" is a pleasant house, easy accessible and there's a bus stop near by. Easy travel for sightseeing. Genuinely friendly reception and service throughout, making you feel immediately at home. The owners were always friendly and had no trouble helping us or recommending tourist spots for us to visit. We stayed here for a couple days with the...

When we booked a room at this guest house, we were not expecting luxury. Just a good, basic, cheap and cheerful stop-over whilst we stayed in Abingdon for family celebrations. Unfortunately, even with the bar set reasonably low, The Rowen failed to impress. For a start, our room was simply not clean. I should say that I am not the...

We had two rooms a twin and a single. The single was so small it would seem the only way that a bed could had been put in the room would have been to build the wall around the bed! The shared bathroom was not adequate and was old fashioned and as a result grubby. The owners were nice people...

Abingdon is Abingdon. The Rowen Guest House is basic but totally fine. Nice big room with all the basics you would expect. Brilliant Full English included in the price, a few minutes walk to the town. If you want to keep to a budget or are in the town for a jolly-up, stay here

This nice little B&B was perfect for us to stay, quiet and with a nice garden. Good car park and easy to get to Oxford, we even drove to London one day, no problem. The owners offered good service and a good english breakfast. Rooms were a bit small but very clean and tidy. Can very much recommend it.

Stayed in room 4 - good size, quiet, view of the garden, good mattresses on the bed. Ensuite was OK - taps and loo flush a little wonky. Very welcoming and pleasant hosts. Easy walk into Abingdon with a large variety of different restaurants to try. Would definitely use again.

Stayed two nights on a chaep tariff. Loved abingdon. Room was a bit small and not very keen on sharing bathroom, but ok at the price. Beautiful breakfast room with lovely garden. Easy to find and very good parking.

“If you prefer a real "European" quiet room, please ask a room facing back yard. Since I'm an Asian and live in hectic noisy city, for me Rowen neighborhood is too quiet & serene.”
