We are very familiar with this Hotel as family have stayed here a few times. My daughters surprised me with a special mother's day lunch. The staff were brilliant and the food was excellant, compliments to all the chefs. I had the mushroom wellington as a main and the flavours were lovely and for desert had the three desert special....

I would describe this more accurately as an average B&B rather than a hotel. I was staying here as part of a business trip (paid for), so I cannot comment on whether it is good value for money (so i award a three star for the sake of completing the review). I stayed in room 9 on the second floor,...

The room was very clean. Staff were very friendly. Hotel has free unlimited WiFi which worked well. We needed an iron and found there was one and an ironing board on each floor. Free breakfast included in the price was good too.

We had a one night stay here and whilst the reception on arrival and departure was not awe inspiringly welcoming, it all worked well and suited the price. Was there on a Sat night and the place got pretty packed for food and drinks, but all nice and jolly.

We were able to park outside of the Hotel which was good. Check in was smooth and friendly reception. We then went to our room, it was small. there was a nice comfy bed but poor quality bed linen. The bathroom was awful the toilet would not stop draining and the taps were loose. it was very tiny with a...

Staff at the hotel, bar and restaurant are very friendly. Rooms can be a little pokey and the décor isn't as modern as other hotels but everything else makes up for that. Check parking availability as there is no allocated hotel car park.

We went here for lunch as part of special family birthday celebration. The dining areas have lots of character and the whole place feels very warm and welcoming. The food was fabulous and I can't wait to go back to try something else off the menu. I had Leek & Potato Soup followed by Beef Wellington and then a Trio...

Having visited for 1 night due to work, I'd been told it was quite a nice hotel in a central location. I agree it was central but that's as far as it goes really. Upon arrival I was allocated room 19 and told it was out the back and through the fire door, up the stairs. I found my room...

I apologise if the room you stayed in was below par and as the room was only out the day before I looked into how it could be in this condition. Having spoken to housekeeping and looked into the dust situation I found that the demolition of the building opposite your room was to blame. Most guests think that the...
