Stayed for 2 nights in May 2017. Friendly and helpful welcome. Friendly staff throughout our stay. This is a 16th century inn so if you want modern furnishings and surroundings it is not the place for you. We stayed in the original part of the building complete with beams and uneven floors - great character. It is in a quiet...

This a delightful place for a short break. Lots of local places of interest such as the Clee Hill, Ludlow, Bridgenorth and Cleobuy Mortimer. The breakfast is really good and sets you up for a day exploring the area. Don't have lunch as you'll need plenty of room for your evening meal. There is a good varied menu and the...

I have never been to such a friendly place in my life! Through one thing and another my weekend for 2 turned into a weekend for one (and Stan the dog) I was nervous about coming on my own, but everyone was genuinely really lovely! All the locals chatted away to me and Stanley at dinner and the staff have...

We were on a Groupon deal [which was excellent value] and enjoyed exploring this lovely area. The staff were very friendly & efficient, the dinner was excellent [although I paid a little extra to upgrade from the limited 'deal' menu]. The bed was very comfortable and the room perfectly adequate [but too hot - we had the window open overnight...

Had a really enjoyable stay, true, the hotel is in need of little touch up but the setting, food and staff make it well worth the visit. The hotel is in a really beautiful area and with the great weather we had, made our stay even more enjoyable.

Spent a night away with my partner in this 16th Century place in Shropshire to celebrate my Birthday... the Crown Inn was well kept inside with the decor kept to it's original 16th Century style showcasing the history of the Inn... the three course meal we had was absolutely delicious... the tables in the restaurant area of the bar were...

We stayed at the Crown for 2 nights on a Groupon offer. We were in cottage room (19) alongside the main building. Parts of the room were very grubby as there were many tea and coffee stains on the wall around the kettle. Also it was supposed to be a bathroom, but it only had a shower. It had a...

We had a groupon deal which was great value. The hotel has a lot of character and it is in a great position for visiting South Shropshire or any of the neighbouring counties. The staff couldn't do enough for us and the food was delicious and excellent service. Will definitely be going back. Tom and Christine Cook

Booked for 2 nights, Groupon was a gift so included 2 course meal on each night & breakfast (never ate breakfast as shocking early 8.30-9.30) We arrived around 5ish in the Saturday evening quite busy with locals, was given our key room 12, just told its upstairs.. it was right by main road no view... The room was very old,...
