Met my sister & brother in law here to exchange Christmas goodies, we had travelled from North Yorkshire, they had arrived from Berkshire......long trips for both due to weather & traffic. We were made very welcome, rooms clean & spacious, beer & wine cold!! Bit of a mix up with our dinner reservations, on the Friday, however there was a... More

It's been a few months since we have called at the Plume of Feathers but we were not disappointed a good selection on the menu and some excellent specials. We both went for the Barramundi and WOW it was excellent with a seafood cocktail mixed with samphire and a dauphenoise sauce , so tasty you wanted the experience to go... More

Visited on Sunday after looking at the menu on the outside we decided what we wanted, when we walked in we got given a different menu, I asked about a sandwich on the menu from outside and got told "I don't know where that is on the menu" so I ordered something different. Overall the food didn't taste that great,... More

We've stayed here a few times before and have enjoyed our stays. This time was different. We arrived at about 18.35 on a Sunday, blame the M25, to be told the last orders were at 18.45 and we had to order while we were standing there, having only just put our bags on the bar floor and still had our... Weekend break, typical country pub. Extremely welcoming staff really nice and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for the manager Ryan. Food good Rooms bed comfy. They do need new pillars rather flat and hard.

On our way to Much Wenlock we stopped here for lunch. A nice welcome drinks followed soon after. My wife had Croque Monsuir which she said was very nice. I had Whitebait followed by Leek and Parmesan Risotto which was well cooked if a little dry, a minute less cooking would have made it petfect

Came here for dinner on a Thursday night with the family. Unfortunately didn’t get off to a great start after a white wine spritzer and black and soda were ordered. The soda water was so flat it was like drinking Ribena and the spritzer had no bubbles at all. We sent the spritzer back for a normal wine and I... More

We found the room rather basic and expensive and flattered by the website but the evening meal was very good. The breakfast was fine apart from the water urn was not hot enough for tea and the coffee varied from weak to very strong from the filter machine.

I really liked this little place. Being honest if you are after posh then this isn't the place for you but for us it was exactly what we wanted. Lovely staff, great breakfast, basic but perfectly good enough facilities, wonderful shower, tea facilities and a wardrobe/draws. There is road noise but that would be due to it being on a... More

We stayed at The Plume of Feathers for 2 nights. The people who run it (I presume?) seemed a little distant and not as friendly as they could be. Waitresses lovely! Place very clean and tidy and attractive. Room was nice apart from nowhere to put things in the bathroom and double bed wasn't that comfortable for me being a... More
