It's been two years since I've been to Pen-y-Dyffryn Country Hotel and finally I manage to go back to this wonderful place. Nothing change since last time and I'm glad for that. Once you open the door you're greeted by a beautiful smile, warm scones and tea. This time we stay in the champagne room in the main building, large...

The hotel is situated in beautiful countryside with an abundance of fantastic walks on the door step, the view from our room in the coach house was delightful, the gardens and house are beautifully kept. We took our little dogs and we've had a fabulous stay, they were worn out with the walking. Diner and breakfast were highlights, our four...

This country house hotel is only three miles from the busy market town of Oswestry, but it might as well be in a different world. Surrounded by farmland and woodland in the rolling landscape of the Welsh borders, it provides a tranquil refuge in a setting which has probably changed very little since this former rectory was built in the...

This hotel seems the epitome of rural England's loveliness. If it were 100 yards west it would be Welsh loveliness. We had a room up the garden above the main house with beautiful views to the west so we could have our labrador with us . Pen-y-Dyffryn is set in very beautiful countryside with lots of very good walks in all...

This is our second visit and it never dissapoints. The staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The Chef produces outstanding meals which you really look forward to in the evening. Should go on Master Chef. You really do feel relaxed and I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family. Worth a visit......

Every element of our stay was superb: fine food, lovely scenery and exemplary service. We felt welcomed throughout and the staff were assiduous and friendly. We intend to return, probably repeatedly. Pen-y-Dyffryn was an inspired choice for our wedding anniversary celebration.

Stayed in upper court in the coach house beginning of june for 3 nights , separate patio with table and 2 chairs ideal for a dog fantastic views, great food , tables are close together but that's what gives it a homely feel , we met some lovely people who we may not have made conversation with otherwise, there are...

Set among the hills and sheep on the Shropshire/Welsh border, this lovely hotel just about lived up to its website description. Yes, the tables are too close together in the dining-room, and yes, the room was small for the price we paid, but we left after two days with a very happy memories of the area and hotel.

We stayed here at the end of June, our choice mostly driven by the good reviews on Trip Advisor, and I'm glad to say the reviews were right! We stopped for two nights in the Rose room, which had a great view over the countryside before it. The room had filtered water, replenished every day, along with the usual tea/coffee...

We have stayed at Pen-y-Dyffryn many times and it never fails to please. This time we stayed 2 nights in the Champagne Room which is a superb room - very spacious and luxuriously and tastefully appointed with the most comfortable large double bed you can imagine, and views out across the beautifully kept gardens, and also with the largest double...
