We stayed at this B&B when touring in Snowdonia recently. The house was sit in front of a farm, and looking at the lake and mountain. Setting is beautiful! The house is very high quality for a B&B standard. Bedroom is decent size and bathroom is clean and modern. Walls are thick so that you don't hear your neighbours. Other...

This is so much more than a B&B, it is simply wonderful! From the moment we arrived Alex and Lorraine made us feel so welcome in their home, nothing is too much trouble. We had visited for a weekend to go walking up a mountain and Alex's incredibly extensive knowledge of the local area helped us to decide on a...

Just returned from what is our third visit to Dolffanogfawr Fawr and as always our stay here is special. Lorraine and Alex are great hosts and really make you feel welcome and as others have stated Lorraine's cooking is superb! Recommend ordering smoked haddock and black pudding for breakfast. The walks in the area are outstanding. Cadair Idris is a...

Six of us have just had a wonderful 2 nights at the Dolffanog Fawr. We all thought that this is the most brilliant B & B. From the really warm welcome upto the point of leaving on our last day we felt that nothing was to much bother for Lorraine & Alex. The meals were all excellent and the drinks...

We have just had a couple of days staying with Alex and Lorraine at their beautiful B&B at Dolffanog Fawr. I can't speak too highly of the experience. Alex and Lorraine were charming and helpful, Alex particularly so about the fishing (even if the sea trout weren't so obliging). The setting is lovely with views out over the valley and...

Absolutely fantastic hosts, food, scenery, facilities etc etc ! Couldn't have asked for a better wedding anniversary short holiday. There's so much to do in the local area ie bikes, climbing, beaches, hills, rivers etc. We can't wait to return. Fantastic !

We had a fantastic time in Tal-y-llyn, especially due to the cosy and friendly atmosphere in this lovely B&B! We had great food, comfortable beds, a nice bath, great recommendations from the owners, wonderful views... We hope to be back soon!

We booked here after reading the reviews of other guests and generally yes I agree it is a top class guest house in an outstanding location. On arrival we spent our first half an hour just gazing out of the window taking in the mountain, the variety of birds utilising the bird feeders and the lake in the background along...

Ouch that hurts! I’m glad you had a generally pleasant stay with us however I must respond to your niggles: The lock and key About 5 years ago a guest somehow managed to double lock the door from the inside and then slam the door shut, it could not be unlocked. I had to call out a locksmith and it...

We stayed with Alex and Lorraine for 4 (rather fab) nights and have hotly debated since leaving that Dolffanog Fawr is possibly the best B&B we have ever stayed. It really is a remarkable place for a number of reasons. Firstly your hosts - Alex and Lorraine are great and genuinely welcoming. Alex is so knowledgeable of the local area...

Beautiful views across fields to the lake. Great walks for all levels. Very comfortable beds and rooms with a big fluffy white duvet! Best of all was the warm welcome from Alex and Lorraine and the food was delicious. I would recommend having dinner every night of your visit if available - Lorraine's meals are 5*, 3 courses and you...
